Agree. There is a small group of individuals that I see on here that provide great insight and information to those who are seeking legit advise and not just to vent or rant on and on. Your personal appreciation is noted, and I will also take the time to make sure I acknowledge that to those others on here I enjoying seeing.
Although there are others, these come to mind:
@bec102896
@shelbyusn
@PDFelter
@NicoleAshley
@gsking
@bwallet
@DancingDavidE
@TheMiddleSeat
I appreciate all your efforts to come to this forum and actually provide sound advise and responses to the question folks are asking.
ALL OF YOU, have a wonderful day and keep showing the LOVE.

So the reason i ask is because 1 of many things, I have rod in my back & extremely bad arthritis now & Sitting for any long period of time is extremely painful so i need to get up frequently to move around. so i don't need a wheel chair but i'm 6'3 and need a fair amount of room since i'm constantly up & down. Again I'm just curious
I want to chime in with my friends in this forum, THANK YOU, for your service. I don't read posts looking for issues to question someone's post, but I do want to make just a few comments here from you post.
"So the reason i ask is because 1 of many things, I have rod in my back & extremely bad arthritis now & Sitting for any long period of time is extremely painful so i need to get up frequently to move around." Unless I'm wrong, it wouldn't matter which flight you're on or seat your in, you're not able to get up and move around unless the captain has announced that this is possible to do so, (taking off the seatbelt light)
I would agree you might have a solid chance to talk with the ticket agent and get a pre-board ticket, just ask.

@Jack2act I know this isn't the solution to what you are seeking, but, here goes anyway. As a senior myself (67) I am for the most part able bodied and have never even had a thought of trying to get any early access to boarding. But just as a individual I take no issue with any senior getting any extra benefit, in good faith or not, for any service. The more elderly they are, the more I accept that.

@dfwskier I've always enjoyed seeing your comments and often solutions to the issues/questions folks have in the discussion forum. In this case, you provided for me some solid advise and I took your solution to heart. I just bought two tickets for my son and grandson without the loss of value of the points. I appreciate your insight on this and want to say, THANK YOU, very much.

Not to be unsympathetic, but the title should be; Don't lose your wallet anywhere and expect to get your money back. I've read on here where the opposite has happened and all things were restored and returned. Just in the case, sadly, it wasn't.

I'm only responding to this because this actually happened to me on a flight and a good story. Yes, you can take it on with you. Now my story. Let me preface, I'm an older gentleman, therefore, I don't keep up with the latest trends. At a time when bigger was better, I had always intended to get a new laptop. By the time I decided to pull the trigger, that bigger is better time had passed but found a great deal on a new one and my old one died. (forced to get one) Well when the flight attendant started talking about using electronic devices, he made a shout out to those of us who still (lol, my was only a month old) had those dinosaur 4-pound large laptops', Yada yada yada. I actually felt embarrassed and didn't pull it out like I had previously done. I still have and use that laptop but never bring it out anymore due to this one flight attendant. Yes, I guess I have issues, but they are self-implanted in my head on my own...but I still give SWA the love, only on a frustrated cell phone that makes me squint to see due to my limited vision.

SWA use to be economical based on the business model of no frills no charge. Although I been able to compare other airline prices with SWA I don't think they can bank on that anymore. With that said, I'm with you and wish they had at least a pay option for a snack or sandwich. But on the side of SWA, that would only be on fights say, over 2 hours or more. I've been caught with my pants down way too many times thinking I got time to grab a snack between layovers, but with SWA it's lately been too much of a gamble. I would say I've only been on 2 flights out of 25 that I landed on time from the first flight only to be rushed to the next gate to board. But still love them and will continue to fly....yes, I've giving the love.

Honestly, I didn't even read that long post you put on here. I'm just going to cut through the chase and say this, if you're questioning if you should give your business to any company, then NO is the answer. Best of luck on the other airlines.

I've been a teacher for over 30 years and have taught some lesson with rote memorization and on auto pilot. However, every now and then I say something that a student catches or I catch myself saying that isn't what I meant to say, it happens. I guess I'm a rogue teacher who is incompetent at doing my job.

Sadly, these deals are meaningless to me since I already have a companion pass. Now if I could use it for someone else that would be good, but I have to change my current companion which I could do anyway.

I'm also sorry to hear this happened to you. I don't know if it happened to me if I could blame SWA airlines or not? I often see folks get on the plane and place their bad in the overhead bin and then continue to walk further back on the plane for their seat, I would never do that. In fact, as much as I hate it, I put my carry on under my seat. Once the plane if fully loaded I check and see if I can squeeze it in at an overhead where I'm sitting. I don't know how far away you were from you bag, but it's a lesson learned not to take your eye off the prize. As soon as folks jump up like there is a $100 prize for the first one to squeeze towards the front exit door, my eye is on my bin, primarily because all of my electronics are in my carryon bag. There are those that make mistakes (take the wrong bag) and those that will take it on purpose, it's just the way it is. I've been the personal victim of thief way too many times in my lifetime to now just know to error on the side of caution because of this. If it was an honest mistake, your bag will make its way back to SWA, if not, I'm sad to say that it won't. I've even been on the window seat and as soon as the bin opens with my bag in it, I've asked someone to hand me my bag if they would.

@KAI2121 @SoCalFlyer97 Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. As a flyer of SWA since 1997 I had no idea this ever existed, silly me. I'm in fact going to head right to the link and try it out right now and book a flight somewhere. SWA should give you a percentage of my flight for your insight on this.

For lack of topics, I used the check-In and Boarding thread. And to state, this isn't a complaint, just an observation. My question is, pre-covid it seemed that that at most airports when I head to TSA, I would see a sign for SWA A-List, A-List Preferred, and full fare customers. I rarely see that anymore, and I'm talking about major SWA hubs. Was there something I missed that has caused this change. Not asking for a friend, asking for me. 🙂

this isn't your post under another name? It seems you have the forum mistaken for some place you can just throw out any question and get relief. It's a discussion forum that I'm sure that I'm sure if you took the same time it took to sign up for this forum you could have found out which department at SWA handles sponsorships. You're looking on a much larger scale than a one-time check for uniforms.
Here is what I found:
I found a page on the Southwest Airlines website that lists their corporate citizenship efforts 1. However, I couldn’t find any information on who handles sponsorships at Southwest Airlines.
Maybe this might be more helpful.
Direct message Southwest with a comment or question on their Twitter account – @Southwestair. Southwest Airlines Mailing Address And lastly, if you just need to do it the old-fashioned way, you can write to Southwest at Southwest Airlines P.O. Box 36647-1CR Dallas, Texas 75235

I'm on the fence for this one. Although I know there are those that have one bad experience and sign up to this forum for the only reason to try and bash SWA. Are they perfect, no, are they trying, I still believe they are. As mentioned often in other posts, SWA has so many understaffed areas that if filled would make the product they serve go much smoother. If I was in their HR office, I think finding those voids to fill would be more productive to everyone than hiring someone to monitor a discussion forum. I don't mind hearing the other side, but, if you're agenda was to insult and try and degrade, any counterpoint would be mute to them anyway. Hopefully a solution can be found.

@HeartsHelping04 Without any support (website link) or any type of verification you do really exists, I encourage anyone in this forum NOT to bite on this.
And as already stated, SWA does not allow folks to solicit formally or informally in this forum.
If your organization is legit I wish you the best in securing the support you need. You never did mention (that I recall) how these points help the children you assist out if donated.

Since they started the practice of making sequential boarding numbers for companions, I've flown about 30 times. Each time my companion was the next boarding number. ALTHOUGH, this to be true, my companion always goes ahead and checks in right at the 24-hour mark to be sure. I don't know if it's because I'm also an ALister or not, but I love it and thank SWA for the change.

I do pretty much the same as Jessica. And I book a hotel that is giving out larger amounts of points for staying. Often more than what I could bargain shop for, but in the long run, helps me get the companion pass 10 years running. I use to do a rental car, but found out that you normally pay more using SW partners. I just add my frequent traveler info to my rental car company and get the 600 points that way.

lol, I went ahead and signed up for the promotion just because I sign up for every promotion. This is, I already have a companion pass for my wife, and I don't fly with anyone but my wife, so although I will qualify for the companion pass, I won't get to use it. UNLESS, any of you savvy folks out in the community know something I don't, please share.

This has also started at CABO San Joes airport. Not sure why this has started to pop up, but just another thing to contend with and why I always get to the airport very early when going to Mexico.

Good information to know, I've often wondered what I would do should I lose my identification while on travel. That came from a near situation of losing my driver's license (only form of ID) only to actually find it hidden deep in my carry-on bag after I dumped everything out near the ticket counter. THANK YOU
