Hello all, I have a question for everyone who has flown with a large service dog. Does southwest restrict the size of a service dog in cabin? I had an awful experience with American Airlines previously. I am bringing my trained service dog on two flights with southwest this fall, and I’m really nervous because of all the stories I’m reading. He is 80-90 pounds and I was told that is no problem. I put on my reservation I had a service dog and called customer service and they got me preboarding so he will have room during the flight. I am still nervous. I don’t want any slip ups when I arrive at the airport. He will have his ID and vest as well. Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to grab a bulkhead seat (row 1) as it will give both you and your dog the most amount of room. Since you'll be pre-boarding, you'll likely be able to do that.
