I'm traveling with my 16 month old and I read that I need her birth certificate for age verification as I'm traveling with her as a lap child. would an immunization record work in place of the birth certificate? I won't have access to a birth certificate in time.

According to the information on southwest.com and a few other blogs I found, a birth certificate is the only proof of age that is accepted. You could call SW to double check.

I have heard of other uses accepting immunization documents, but the Southwest website only mentions the birth certificate specifically. I would call the 800 number the day ahead today to add the child to your ticket and mention then what materials you do have.
