My calls came *unknown", some from a (214) area code, then random 3's and 6's, some"Blocked". I answered when I wasn't at my old job, so not sure if the missed calls were SWA , OR that crazy, "Car warranty" spam call.
1 time my recruiter emailed me (i never check emails), then right after she called,(her area #214) my phone was on "do not disturb", she left a VM, then she texted, I ♥️ my recruiter. I saw she was trying to reach me so I texted right back.

It looks like there was some sort system issues, and you ARE NOT ALONE! The recruiters reach out in different ways. For 1 job I applied for I received an email, for another job, same job title different city, I received a phone call. Check around on the community and look for green ✅. Some community questions are getting answered by SWA employees. You will be able to see an answer from the true source. Keep trying, if nothing else, you apply for another job that interests you. Good luck!

Woohoo!! So happy to welcome both of you. @Redruss91 unfortunately I'm not familiar with many surrounding suburbs. I live in the actual Dallas city limits. I have been to Las Colinas, but that might be too far from wifey's school. Trinity Lake is 1 hr 27 min from me and I'm about 17 minutes from Love air.
@brittg72409 this might be too late before you visit, but if you could look in Irving several of my classmates commute from there, including my supervisor.
@Redruss91 that too may be a stretch for your wife. On Monday I'll ask my group for help in actual names of areas closer to, but west of DAL. 1 job I did while waiting on SWA hire date, was a part time job. I did a grocery shopping job . Just shopped the store to fill item list and bagged the items, no delivery. It was a quick hire process, on line, something you could before you move down, easy job, decent pay, flexible, and most stores have shoppers posting.
As far as utilities are concerned, of course depending on area, apt, house, etc BUT
Water/ Garbage - $50 month
Electricity- depends on season $70-250
Gas- $20-$70
?Internet/Cable¿- $100
I hope this helps. Keep asking me questions, and I will try to find answers.

Thanks for the info! Really what I need right now is a good recommendation for an apartment. Our budget is a little bit tight, but we are trying to get a 2-bed 2-bath somewhere for under 2k if we can manage it. We will be bringing 2 cats along with us too.
My wife will be starting her new job at Trinity Lakes Elementary in the HEB ISD on July 25. We are trying to find a place somewhere between there and Corporate, mainly looking in the Las Colinas, Centreport, Euless areas. Any suggestions or areas to avoid would be most helpful!
I am particularly anxious about my start date, since we are moving from out-of-state and I really need a start date close to my wife’s to make budget and everything work. 😂
Also, could you give me an idea of the cost of utilities run in the area?

Hi @brittg72409 and @Redruss91. I have been through the corp hiring process and now work headquarters DAL. Our process is a bit different from the other bigger departments. I was able to follow their progression, but don't panic if y'all see differences.
After my drug test and Contin Contract April 25th, I didn't hear anything until May 23 that everything was finalized, about 4-5 weeks later. I think that might be the step where y'all are now. It SOOOO hard waiting to hear anything. I was thinking I was going to be giving my 2 weeks back April 25😶. You know.. all proud of myself, ready to strut myself around in my new SWA Tshirt...🦚 Nope! After 3 weeks I was more like 🐤.
My dept had several spaces to fill so they continued to have interviews until all spots were filled. Then all us new hires had the same 1st day to start training.
I still was able to follow the community posts even though we all were from departments, Ground, Customer, Flight, etc. and could see when posters started posting their 1st day date AND FOR US their onboarding dates, I could track when I probably would be getting some type of feedback.
I lived here in Dallas about 15 yrs now, so ask me anything questions. My fingers are crossed for both of you! Keep me posted reach out to me individual for details on DAL. 🤠

Talked to my CS&S friends to see what skills to work on B4 training. I was told typing super fast, toggle between different screens, practice patience. Goggle typing tests, watch customer service videos, good and and bad. 1 person said she would watch real life situations, tv shows, and chats, break them down and write all the positives statements she could use, write all the negatives and try to turn them around. Good luck

After my application was accepted it did take about 12 days for me to a response. That was Dec31 2021, Holiday time, but this looks like this was a big system change? Break? Crash? Internet broken? I'm sorry that happened.

Are you looking for an address to send an email regarding your application? After you submit your application you will receive an email with a link to set up an account which is your "Dashboard". "Dash" keeps track of your progression through the hiring process. Check your email junk folder. Keep in mind, there is not a set timeline for notifications, but there are set stages that your application will travel through. Good luck

OMG gosh great start!!! During my hiring process I worked as PartTime grocery shopper, not delivering, just shopping a list, and enjoyed the flexibility that offered.
City codes are a MUST for every department. Once you start your training there is no time to study the codes, but you are using them everyday. I'm in Flight OPs, on the learning side of things.
So i don't know too much about CS. Look over military times, and time zones. A good resource for codes is:
https://www.studystack.com/flashcard-3508643
Also you can do a search on study stack for CS terms, or basic Airport terms.
There is also a SWA shop, you can start your wish list of cute tees ;). You will go through what they call "on boarding" or " fly day" or " freedom day" . It's all the same thing. All of the new hires from all over different cities, different departments, come together on 1 day to learn culture, history of SWA, policies, expectations, new hire paperwork, etc.
In my position I have 4 weeks classroom training, week 1 was all classroom, week 2 was my on boarding, then back to class before I go on the floor. But depends on your hire date and your schedule will be set up to accommodate all the new hires. Woohoo!!! So exciting! Keep us posted! I'll ask my new co-hearts that were CS for their best advice.

Hi@desmondrl You should be receiving an email with a link to set up your job "DASHBOARD". I applied 12/31/2021 and received my link email 1/12/22. So there could be several days, weeks, maybe months before you get any response.
I know that doesn't help AT ALL, but it's a fair process to give all people the same opportunity.
THE BEST RESOURCE is this community. Reaching out to peeps going through this process helped me know what to look for and to also help others. POST any info that you feel comfortable sharing. Everyone needs to post small info., updates, any progress, questions, answers, support, successes, and disappointments. It looks like a HUGE, great group of folks applied for remote jobs, CS, and ramps recently and there was type of "messy system thing."
Those of us that came B4 try to come back and help but we can't speak to things y'all might experience we did not. I wish the very best, and looking forward to post our "Congrats" soon. 🤠🤞

@Hinebc12 I want to help cause but not sure if I can. The feeling of not knowing how to move forward is exhausting, so here is what I know from my experience. Dec 31, 2021 I applied for an Admin Corp Headquarters post. The job was listed in SWA careers website. After I filled out the basic application I was given options to upload documents i.e resumes, covid vaccine proof. I did attach resume, and vacc card. I received an email Jan 12th 2022, hopefully I attached it ?, that had a link to my dashboard. I'm not sure this is still the process. So it was some days from when I applied to when I did get a response. When I did receive my dashboard I was able to keep track of my application, and see it travel through different steps. I applied to several jobs I was interested in, had the skills. I DID NOT get picked for several postings, all different titles and categories. I checked posting, my dash, and emails on the daily. Every application getting all excited and getting my "Thank you, NEXT" email a few days later, or getting nothing at all and seeing my progress change on my dash to "closed complete" which is basically just "NEXT". The emails were all different in script, and some dept never sent anything back. 3 mths later on April 4th I received an email invite with a link to set up a phone Interview. I didn't get that job either. For my entire long story search through my postings. Today, 6/23/2022 I'm happily exhausted from my 15th day of training. I hoping the dashboard is still a thing."Dash" was not always encouraging news for me, but "dash" was helpful to see progression.
You are already doing The BEST THING aside from "DASH". Posting, reaching out for others in your same boat, following those that came B4 you, sharing fears, info, mistakes, asking questions, and very important answering questions.
AGAIN I'm not sure if this will be your path. Both myself and small bunch of folks @TPArampgirl, @jmalloy @Cabi002 @CeceGirl29 and others grouped up and help each other find answers. Most of all they were my encouragement to keep trying.
It's good to find peeps looking for a position around the same date as you and stick together. Post as much info you feel comfortable, black out ALL COMPANY and personal info. keep looking here in the community. Every hiring path is different but maybe together we can get you future down the road, or maybe a partner in crime to travel with 😉

I'm a boomerang as well. Boomerang someone that left SWA, left for whatever reasons, came to their senses 😉, and are BACK! I look into jobs that would fit into my new skill set, and fit into who I am now. Look through all jobs and descriptions, and apply, apply, apply, don't give up, you will end up where you are supposed to end up. Good luck, keep posting your journey for those that will follow you. 🤠

Have you checked your dashboard? Through my process, I had 2-3 different phone interviews(PI), 3-4 different Virtual Interview (VI), across 3 different departments. After 1 of my PI i received a link to sign up for a Virtual Interview, with the same recruiter. After 1 of my other PI I received an email to pick a time in the next few days for a VI. After my 3rd PI I had already picked another department and let that recruiter know of my withdrawal.
I did notice that my progress on my dashboard lagged a couple of days from info I had already received about a job posting. BUT I also noticed when I was NOT picked to move forward, my dashboard was the best indicator when I would see the "closed complete" status. I would then receive an email that my skills didn't match the what they needed.
So.....make sure you check your dashboard, and noticed your status progression. Check emails. If you have the contact info from recruiter, and feel comfortable, reach out and ask if there is anymore info needed to help you get the position, or is there anything you can improve on. I found that everyone in recruiting, HR, and everyone I've meet, is there to help you get the job, help you keep that job, and want you to be successful. Good luck, reach out with all your ??'s, and pls post all info you learn for others. 🤞

As long as your dashboard has not closed out, "closed complete", then your still the pool of candidates. Keep looking out for emails, and posting any info you want to share with others. A lot of times you can find folks that are on the same path as you, and will be in your on boarding or training classes. It's nice to have some partners going through the process with you. Good luck😄

hi, you came to right spot, well sort-of. You are rowing a boat we have all either been in, getting in, or just looking around to find our paddles. You will find so much support here. , So share as much as you want within the community. You never know who you will help. The first thing we, the people further down "river", will tell you, "There are no timelines, within the timelines". For me, my process of applying, applying, applying and not get picked for other jobs seemed long~ 1st application 12-31-2021~ hire date~ 6-6-2022. After my 1st VI- I did not get picked to move on through the process. I have read, several posts that they got hired on the spot, and received their CO that same day. I applied for another job posting, same results, same time line. I applied again, and after my VI my recruiter wanted me to interview with other managers, so another VI. That one STUCK, or I just wore them down😆😉.
Keep reading up on everyone else's experiences. A great thread that has lots of different timelines in 1 place is from @TPArampgirl "Please post hiring timelines! 🙏"
I'm wishing you the best of luck!

Yeah🎉! Do lots of mock interviews in front of the mirror, with friends and family. Get comfortable with speaking about how your skill set will match with FA job. Show
off your great personality (😉). Also focus on your skills needed for FA, time management, flexibly, on time and attendance. Talk about the skills you have learned with other jobs, or school related activities. Have your "go tos" phrases for basic interview questions, "tell us about yourself". Stay focused, for me I have a prob w staying on topic and forget to ACTUALLY answer the question 🤦🏽♀️. Good luck🤞let's us know how it goes.

FA posts are unpredictable. They open listing on SWA job board, hold "job fairs" in different cities, have applications that came in after the last class was filled, etc. Make sure to check swa career web page, constantly. Tell your family and friends to be on the look out for SWA job fairs in your town and other cities you can fly to. Good luck!
