Is there any possible ways to discuss work schedule hours or an estimated work schedule discussion with applicants BEFORE sending them to first week training?
Took me 6 weeks to get to the first training week (i had just missed the montly deadline) and I had asked the interviewer/recruiter about an example of work hours but were told they couldnt tell me. I followed up with them two other times via email about what my work hours "could possibly be' (I live an hour and half away from airport) but was never responded to. When I finally got to training week, the admin team said 4 am start time. WHOA I sure wish I would have known that prior to accepting job. Because of that early start time I had to sadly leave SWA. I was then told by another co-heart that NO my hours would NOT have been 4 am -shux. Is there anyway to reapply at SWA ? Thank you so much💟

question: Why doesn't Southwest discuss hours or an example of work hours to their trainees or applicants? I was so sadly disappointed as I asked what my "estimate of hours would be" at the FTF interview and was told they couldn't tell me.They said it would depend on my trainers schedule. I followed up with the recruiter/interviewer via email two other times before training and they did not answer my email (even though they opened it-email tracker) I waited 6 weeks.
When I got to the first week of training, all the employees and trainers said my hours would be start time 4 am. I was so disappointed and had I known my start time would have been 4 am I would never have accepted the position. ( I live outside of the airport area by over an hour and a half) SWA please consider discussing estimated work schedules with the applicants so they can make informed decisions. Thank you so much SWA or anyone who can answer. 😊

So excited! I finally received my commitment letter of employment AND my official start date (which is a Aug 28th). So as soon as I received the email saying that I have passed all my requirments and its 100%, it took like maybe 5-7 days until the final commitment letter and start date. I was so excited pressing "I accept" button. Woooohooooo

I have not applied for any of those particular positions but I did apply for Operations Agent and I got an email within the week asking for a video interview...About a week later, I was asked to come in for an in-person interview. About a week after that, I then received a contingent job letter and then completed all my screening tests, badge class and other paperwork..on my portal page it still says "in process". I recieved an email today saying congratulations the screenin gprocess is complete...but it still says "in process"...I am thinking it takes about 6-8 weeks from your contingent job offer letter to officially begin...I may be wrong but thats how long mine has taken. Good luck and I am sure you will be working for Southwest very soon.

I have been so excited to receive my start date but so far nothing has come. I just received my Congratulations letter that I my employment screening has been completed. Does anyone know perhaps when I will receive anything about my start date? Im just super excited. Operations Agent 🙂

Congratulations! I too am a new hire and am waiting patiently for the training days and the email from HR telling me how to log in to SWA and fill out my benefits package and info..but so far I keep checking my emails (and spam) but nothing yet..I am pretty sure I am hired (like your friend says) and I am super excited just like you. Hope we both hear something soon. I am so happy to be joining SWA and joining all the cohearts.

Im surely not a pro at uploading documents to any server, but make sure that there are NO symbols in the document name. For example, make sure your resume is not saved at
Jims>. resume/21$. Make sure it is correctly named such as Jimsresume. and make sure it is saved as a PDF. so it should say Jimsresume.pdf. Hope that helps.

Hello, Im new to this too. It took my recruiter about 3 or 4 days to reply so I think thats a normal amount. Just keep checking your spam. They definitely will reply. Southwest has been amazing during this hiring process. Good luck and have fun!

I am so excited to be starting my new career with Southwest and I WAS SO HAPPY when you said you were 51 ! I am too!!! and I am scared and excited at the same time and so happy to have found your post and posts from others. This is so exciting. I ordered my new black shoes from Keen because Keens have always been extremely comfortable so I got those ordered today.
The way EVERYONE at Southwest has treated me so welcomingly and warmly, I am just overwhelmed with happiness and gratefulness.
