Hi @20308969973. So sorry to hear about your experience, it's definitely not the usual or typical experience on Southwest Airlines. I am concerned that the proper department to assist you isn't monitoring this particular chat as it's related to the Careers Section at Southwest. Most of the users of this particular section are external Candidates for jobs at Southwest and are not Employees and are not affiliated directly with the company. Hi @TJack! Yes! I'm in the same situation. The process really could be better. The hiring Team has a list of email addresses for everyone that applies for a particular job requisition, a DG (Distribution Group). You'd think they could send a single generic email to the group once every week, or every two weeks, or once a month. Something to just say hello, you are still in consideration, maybe some kind of update. We've processed X number of applications, we still have X number to process, X class has been filled, but we have X number of classes remaining. I see people "In Process" for four, five, six months just to sign in one random day to see "Closed/Complete" with zero communication at all for the entire month after month wait. The hiring experience really could be better. Room to improve. 💙💛❤️

@LauraS You are not alone. I've seen others are having the same problem as you, I've seen that on other posts. It seems some applications didn't transfer over. Hang in there. Hopefully it's a known problem that will be resolved or someone else here can help or has another suggestion. This is what I see when I log in. Hoping you get it resolved.

@LauraS I'll attach the link to the log in as a reply to this, just to be sure. However, the system usually deletes links to prevent spam. If it's not there, that's probably what happened. Definitely use the email address you used for your application. Maybe try entering the email address and reseting the password? I do remember that the email you mentioned earlier did say something about needing the original email from when your application was submitted to create an account. I have had issues attempting to upload my resume. I have tried several times and every time it creates a new account even though I'm entering the same email address. The system definitely is not perfect. Good luck!

@Xmkmam82 @Laylazidane Hello! My application was submitted, but my resume was "not accepted." I was able to apply by typing the information into the system, but the system had crashed because of the overwhelming demand and would not let me upload my resume.
The email about the new system is a little behind. It was also sent out to everyone that is on that particular mailing list. I applied June 20th and that system was already up and running. If you go to Southwest Careers and then click on Candidate Home, that is the "new" system (workday). When I sign in there, it says "In Process" which means I am still a candidate and they most likely haven't got to my application yet.

Hi @Laylazidane. Once you get the call screen email you should receive contact information. Before then, it's very difficult to try and get in contact. Even after your call screen, communication is difficult to initiate because the recruiters are so busy with so many candidates to process and with all different aspects of the hiring process. They will get in contact with you when there is any information to relay (you can't call and find out what number you are or what number they are currently processing, but would be nice). If you haven't heard anything it's because there is no information available for us. As long as you are "In Process" you are still a candidate. Applications are processed in the order they were received, so if you haven't heard anything yet, it's because they haven't got to you yet. I am in the same situation, I know it's difficult to keep waiting for so long, but hang in there. If we are fortunate enough, they will get to us. Seems the single most important thing in this hiring process is to get your application in first. Good luck to you!

Hi @Laylazidane! You are not alone. I am a CS&S Candidate from Texas. I have employee referrals, employee recommendation letters and am a retired SWA employee. I've heard nothing back either, no communication. I am "In Process" on SWA Careers Candidate Home. My application finally submitted at around 12:30 Central Time on June 20th. The system would not accept my resume, I had to manually type my information in. Keep in mind, there are also classes in October and November. Hopefully they are still looking at applications for those classes. Good luck to you.

Well @desmondrl, I found out that Candidates in Texas with 09:30 timestamps are receiving emails for call screens today. Making progress. Unfortunately my application wouldn't push through until 12:30. Sounds like I have a long way to go. I don't know what I could have done differently with the system crashes. Hi @BNCampbell. I was told yesterday that this email was ONLY sent to active employees. I was told it was not sent to Candidates through Careers or through workday or anything like that. If you received it maybe a SW Employee forwarded it? The email is not an indication of any of us not getting the job. Hope that helps. Have a great day.

Hi @alrosadob! My best advise would be to join Career Connections on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 13:00. If you haven't yet, you can sign up on the Events Tab on Southwest Careers. A few weeks ago, the session was focused specifically on the Flight Attendant Position. In that webinar, there were special guests from recruiting and from Southwest Inflight who mentioned that they were still processing the large amount of applications from the last posting. I haven't received ANY communication since the "Thank you for applying, we've received your application." Now I have the concern that there is some kind of glitch in the system and I am not receiving communication. Hello @Jamile94! Hope you're doing well. We've had many interactions here. I did not receive that email either which brings the concern that some of us aren't receiving communications. I am also still "In Process" also and like yourself, I haven't received any communication since the "Thank you for applying" email. I've signed up for email and text alerts, but haven't received anything new in the last six weeks. I've even gone back and checked that my email and phone number ten times or so, haha. I've checked spam and junk folders, etc. So, stay strong and keep those spirits up. Good luck to you.
