@Mrsbrooks31 any new info yet? I did see that 20000 applied for remote Cs&s. That's a lot! You never know how thing will shake out. With 20000 applications CS&S might decide to run several training classes at the same time or maybe back to back. Even if you see others getting replies, that doesn't mean you won't. I applied several, several, several times to different jobs from Dec 2021-April 2022. All the processes were different. Good luck, keep a posting whatever you feel comfortable with. I posted so many "wellπ still waiting" and even some "π’ thank you next" email responses. We're only here to support you!

FYI:
I worked as a part time grocery shopper while waiting for my time with SWA. I didn't do any delivery, just shopping a grocery list, packing it up, leaving the bags on a shelf for drivers to pick up. It was good pay, great flexible hours, I could pick up any 4 hr shift between 4am- 9:30pm. I would make my own schedule around my kids school events, husband's work schedule, and well sometimes my napping schedule πΆ. I worked for a store the rhymes with "Cole Doods". My coworkers were the best part, but making my own schedule was great too.
Oh! Try search around this community board, or create a discussion thread looking for peeps coming to DAL same time as you. That way y'all can look out for each other and you won't be on our own. I'm sure the more savy techies out there can help get y'all together WITHOUT giving any personal dets about yourself, exact flight info, or anything that would be dangerous. π€ Welcome!

Hello @Chasebaker15,
In progress is a very good thing! Until you see the words, or wording similar to "closed complete" you are still in the process to reviewed.
It seems as though "remote" was a BIG HIT, And y'all broke down the doors. Go to give you all a Yeehaw π€ ! That being said I applied to several positions around the same time and until my dash read "closed complete" of a job, I was still receiving some emails to schedule phone interviews. So hang in there, good luck, keep posting your dates and any communication you receive to help the others in y'alls BIG BOAT of remotes.

I agree with @Jamile94. If you have a dashboard and no job shows, well...you won't have to wait a year to reapply for that job (ΒΏI think is was remote C's&s). So when remote comes back up you will be more than ready to jump on it. If your dash does post job, EVERYONE KNOW...until you see (unless verbage changed, some wording close to) "CLOSED COMPLETE" your application is still in the running.
Soooo let's say the review the 1st 10,000 and have set them in training. That dept looks to see they still have 10,000 more great people to pull from. What if they choose to run 2 training classes back to back, so 1st 250 of y'all go aug-sep, the next 400 go sept- oct. And so on and so on....You turly never know.
I applied for several, several, several job postings (not an issue) but I sure can't count how many times my dash said "Closed complete". Don't give up! I didn't. It took me from Dec 2021 till June 2022. π Good luck to ALL

@Redruss91 good news is that since the system was making mistakes, during the same time you were going through. SO the plan is to look into all the apps in that time cycle. Not so great news, I only have contact with folks that went through the process prior to the hiccup. So we aren't sure who handling that tangled ball. I worked today ( Sunday) so my dept was a weekend staffed crew, so at as many folks to ask. I will keep trying. And again so sorry, but hopefully you and wife can still make it to Dallas area. We need good teachers and great "YOUS" as co-hearts.

Oh my, well your amazing! I of course I'm only here to support and try to help out. We have all been in type of new situation and was so grateful to look around and find a whole bunch of peeps offering hands to help me up, shoulders to cry on, or just a good ol' shurg "idk either". So I humble accept your wonderful nom. But like my sweet traveling path partner @TPArampgirl , I too currently work for SWA. Like they say in Hollywood, it's just enough to be nominated. π Hehehe

Srry for my very late response. Excited for your July 11th day one.
I did get paperwork before my onboarding, but it was from my department trainer. My department has a newsletter with "people" news. Birthdays, Anniversaries, new hire intros, etc. So I did have "department" related paperwork. If your day 1 is on-board you will go to corporate Bldgs and follow your onboarding email. Me day 1 was in my department, so my dept trainer sent out instructions. On boarding email had SWA colors boarder and was signed from SWA team, so you could tell automated email.
My trainer email was just a personal email. No extra flare and was signed by my trainers. Let me know if you still need help tomorrow (7-10), I'll be working and can try to get answers. Bring all required and usual new hire documents, similar to your passport, DL, SS#, etc. I did get my badge day 1 so practice you "look" in mirrorπ. I wore my new tennies to take the tour, but had my big girl pumps in my bag to complete my outfit. Navy dress blazer, red and white flowered button down, navy pleated skirt, white tennies, navy pumps. π€ π₯° You going to loves it!

Both myself and I'm sure @brittg72409 (once she gets here) can try to work the ground for you? I'll ask around and see if anyone would know someone or some department that has a physical office to help out. I'm so very sorry.

I'm headquarters dept DAL! Hoping to see EVERYONE when y'all come in for onboarding! I received 3 or 4 onboarding emails with several different times and dates. At that point in my process, my actual department manager had reached out to me, so I had several contact #'s for resources. "On boarding" does run several times a month, lately a week. Larger lecture rooms of 200-350 people "onboarding" together. I on-b'd after my 1st week of classroom. My sup told me to follow our classroom training calendar and it will all work out.

Study city codes, for sure. Keep watching emails. Use the search to look for folks in your job potion and see what they say about upcoming events. You might even find others that will start with you and y'all help each other out. Start checking your usual new hire information and documents to make sure you are updated, nothing has expired, and you have correct information. Look at your city's airport map, parking info. times, rates, or public trans.
I made hard copies of all emails received and sent. Then organized for less stress on myself having to search my phone to find the correct information. For me that eased my mind during the waiting period, but looking back was a HUGE waste of paper, and possible some of time. #lessonlearned---well maybe
I also made outfits for 1st weeks, and on- boarding. Ironing, mending, sewing buttons, steaming, starching, color coordinating, trying on for fit and comfort, shoe shining, etc. Looking back I think that was the best use of my time. I was tried after classroom training, but still need to study so was grateful to get 10 extra minutes of sleep the next day because I didn't have to search for matching socks.
Congrats! π

@brittg72409 Did you happen to get the date of your 1st day?
@Redruss91 keep checking emails. did you call/email recruiter and check you haven't missed crossing all the "t's" or dotting all the "i's? I didn't realize at the beginning of my job process how it could a bit long. It's got to be difficult to figure out all the dets when you are relocating, and your not sure about where/when your going to land.
I can't wait to see y'all and get to buy both of you a great welcome cookie with a big sweet tea!!

I know the system was down, broke, taking a nap?ΒΏ so I'm not sure if things will follow the same process before that mess.
An email regarding application received, with a link to your career dashboard. In your dashboard you will see your application moving through the process, (sort of-ish). I've attached the only imagine I found in regards the hiring process. It's not the best screenshot, srry. You're definitely not alone in getting caught up in the tangled up ball mess. It looks like SWA definitely knows something happened, and they are on it, getting back, and making contact. Good luck. Looks like this new group of CS&S remote folks sure do know how to make an entrance. Kicking down doors and crushing the system ππ

Yuck! You aren't alone though. Start reading through some post on this board CS&S from the last couple of weeks. If the post has a green check mark that means there was solution solved. Try to find similar situations close to yours and reach out to poster to see if they have ideas how to help. Good luck, I'm sorry that happened.

Hey welcome! @thePilot17 the timeline for everything will vary. Depends on what department and job you will have, and how many spots they still need to fill. Check out the post by @TPArampgirl that asks for others to post timelines, and you can probably find someone that is same dept, and job as you.
Here is my timeline,
Corporate Headquarters, DAL-
-EMAIL Contingent offer April 29th after my V.Interview
-EMAIL my background check May 19th _EMAIL received my official Contract May 23rd
*****Oh if you remember when you do sign your official Contract, get a screen shot or pic, to email yourself. Your start date will be on the ΒΏleft top cornerΒΏ Basically your 1st day of work. Once you sign the contract you will not have access to that site. Just a small detail easy to miss it, but recruiters can always email a copy of the contract for your records.*
Congrats And Welcome

Great info. @skyrick ! Make sure to try ever way to stay connected to all info about SWA careers. Even if you don't find answers for yourself you will be able to help out when others need the help. I spent a LOT of time staring down, and refreshing my emails, and lost of time pushing every link on SWA career page.
Good LUCK to all!
