So employee parking at Burbank is $17 every time we have a shift and they only deposit us $50 a month for parking??? That would be $85 per week assuming you work M-F

SWA737-200 to -800, Top of arm rest maybe 18.5". But the important part is bumper to bumper measurement at the lower part of the seat. That maybe reducing the width to 17.5". As a Mechanic that made step stools 15" wide to fit between the seats to work the bins & ceiling area. For the most part Rows 3- aft entry the step stool fits just fine. But rows 1-2 where the plane narrows the stool needs to be carried over those seats. https://www.highskyflying.com/how-wide-are-airplane-aisles/
20/More Seat Passenger Airplanes
[Big airliners like the ‘Boeings’ and ‘Airbuses’ are found within this category of airplanes. The FAA Seat and Aisle Regulations require that the aisle width of these airplanes must be 15 inches from the floor to a height of 25 inches and 20 inches above a 25-inch height.
Therefore, it is safe to say that the aisle width of the last Boeing or Airbus flight that you took was between 15 to 20 or more inches.]
Note: B707, 727, 737 all have the same BS 480 to nose section reduction in width and from BS 480 on back width. BS 480 is the split in the seat track to where it goes narrow.

Good day,
Thank you so much for your post. I interviewed on July 12 and received contingent offer email on July 15. I check emails and candidate page several times a day, but still have not received emails to complete hiring process. Under My tasks status still says in process. I was thinking of reaching out to recruiter that interviewed me on Linkedin but not sure if that would seem as if I'm being a little anxious and impatient.
Thanks again,
SMA

Hi,
I am currently employed with Southwest and I have a few questions:
1. What incentive does Southwest provide for their current employees to join 225?
2. Will I retain my Southwest seniority if I choose to become a pilot after completion of 225?
3. How many start days does 225 have in a calendar year?
Thank you,
justin

@desl thank you for being so helpful! I'm still hopeful. My application still says "in process"
It seems as though some of you received calls or emails for interviews in July. That's great! I too submitted right away but the system was so overwhelmed I had to redo it twice because it wouldn't accept my resume'. However I did receive a confirmation that my application and I am guessing resume' was received also. I will continue to be prayerful and hopeful. Like you stated if it's for us we'll get it 🙏🏾

Thank you. When I check the candidate page it says No Applications. To get started, search for new jobs. I don’t have a status. It appears as if I didn’t even apply. My sister on the other hand has been scheduled for her second interview. I can only assume because of all of the traffic and website issues that day that my application was not received. Everyone seems to either have a status or feedback at this point. Best of luck to you and the other candidates!

@About2be I'm looking at possibly working through a staffing agency until I go to Dallas. (Positive thinking!!) And creating a thread looking for other local co-hearts traveling the same time as me is a great idea!
I saw a fb post a little while ago saying they received an offer shortly after their virtual interview today! I'm so excited for them!! Of course, they have to clear all the background process, but still... they got an offer!! I figured it would be days after the virtual before anyone heard anything! It's getting real!!

With Southwest, it's space available. There is no first class. Business class only refers to your boarding position. You'd get the same type of seat everyone else gets. Other airlines, it's also space available, so you get whatever is left, if any. Depending on the agreement, we have to pay taxes and fees, so it's not completely free. You cannot specify a fare class unless you buy a ticket. This will all be covered during training. Dont worry! 😉 Focus on those city codes. 😀

Yuck! You aren't alone though. Start reading through some post on this board CS&S from the last couple of weeks. If the post has a green check mark that means there was solution solved. Try to find similar situations close to yours and reach out to poster to see if they have ideas how to help. Good luck, I'm sorry that happened.

Hello,
You need lots of patience. Keep applying for positions that interest you. They review applications in the order they were received by hand. They do not have a software program to weed them out. That's why it takes so long. Sometimes you will get an email that says they reached the number of applicants they needed and that they didn't review yours. That is not a rejection. They didn't even get to yours so keep applying. If they say you will have an email or response in a week or two, it will be longer, much longer.
Hang in there!

After my application was accepted it did take about 12 days for me to a response. That was Dec31 2021, Holiday time, but this looks like this was a big system change? Break? Crash? Internet broken? I'm sorry that happened.

Are you looking for an address to send an email regarding your application? After you submit your application you will receive an email with a link to set up an account which is your "Dashboard". "Dash" keeps track of your progression through the hiring process. Check your email junk folder. Keep in mind, there is not a set timeline for notifications, but there are set stages that your application will travel through. Good luck
