Keep up the good work Lori and Jennifer! I Luved reading this! I’m also learning to rethink plastic. At the encouragement of my daughter, I’ve started carrying glass containers in my car, just in case I want to take home restaurant leftovers. It feels awkward, but it’s one less styrofoam container being used.

Hello Kelby, Thanks for your prompt reply! I just couldn't figure this one out and your answer about the categories makes complete sense. I'll be watching the URLs when I check back in. Thanks again, Heidi

One day, I also hope to be a part of the Southwest family. Here is the link to get you started. Good luck! https://www.southwest.com/html/about-southwest/careers/index.html

I believe I read the process could take up to a year or more. In the meantime, I would do all you can to learn more about the industry and the SW family. It’ll keep you in a positive mood and you’ll be ready if the opportunity presents itself. There are some great podcasts about Southwest you could listen to. My favorite is on “How I Built This”, featuring Herb Kelleher, the founder of Southwest Airlines. He’s quite a guy... you’ll thoroughly enjoy it. Best of luck to you!

Regarding any controlled substance, if you carry pills always keep the prescription information with you. If the boxes/bottles are too large you could take a photo of the pill with the label and print those. Carry those with you to show everything coincides and of course keep your ID handy. Enjoy your flight!

Good for you for asking this question. I’m sure so many women quietly wonder about the age factor. I’m 53 and I have just applied. I believe it’s more about our attitude and outlook on life. Has our “seasoned” life left us feeling amazing or are we ready to throw in the towel? Are we still curious and challenging ourselves although our current situation may not require it? Good luck. Believe in yourself... you’ve got this!
