It's great that you applied for the ramp agent position. I feel like you will get a response from that department soon. Me on the other hand will move on to other positions at other places. Nobody here has helped me with my dilemma, especially the moderators, and it's leaving a bad taste in my mouth for me to never apply at Southwest again. It's been well over 2 months for me and it's still "in progress". Time to move on for me. But I wish you good luck in your phone interview. Make sure you're prepared for it. They will call you out of the blue without warning to have the phone interview. Study what southwest is about and why you want the job.

I'm giving up. I haven't heard anything at all and nobody here is helping. My status is still at "in progress" and it hasn't updated since April 23rd. I am not going to wait anymore. How about you? Have you finally got an email?

That really sucks! I really hope you hear something soon :(. I still haven't heard anything at all. It has become very aggravating. I'm already giving up on Southwest. It's been almost 2 months next week. But still keep me updated and I'll do the same.

You should check out this link for reviews about working for Delta. https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Delta-Air-Lines-Reviews-E197.htm Based on the first couple of reviews I saw, it looks like it's a good place to work for. You can also filter the results to see reviews from people who worked at LAX. Hope that helps you with your decision. Quick question: You never gotten a phone interview or nothing from Southwest? Your application status stayed at "recieved submission" the whole time without moving forward?

I meet another person here that applied a day after the job posting went live and his status has been at "recieved submission". Since I applied a couple of hours the posting went live ( and I think you did too) we went forward in the process. I just find it weird how Midway is dragging on their CSA applicants. It makes me think that no one has moved forward. I guess the hiring team will move forward with their applicants when they want to.

@KelbyTansey New layout looks sleek. Also, I was wondering if you can help me with my problem. I applied for the customer service agent position at Chicago Midway on April 13th. I got my phone interview April 24th and was told I would hear something in one week. However, it's been over 6 weeks and I haven't heard anything from a phone call or an email. My application status has been at "in progress" since April 23rd, a day before my phone interview. Can you please help me and give me some insight into what's going on? Am I still in the running?

I seriously have no idea. I assume that they contacted people who applied first. I applied right when the job listing went live which was April 13th. Since you applied the next day, it will take a while for them to get to you. They are probably going through the first batch of applicants. In my opinion, the Midway hiring team is taking a long time hiring their Customer Service Agents. I haven't gotten a response from them in more than a month. Same thing is happening to another aquaintence of mine. Only thing I can say to you is to be patient.

I'm sorry to hear that but I'm also glad to see another person that applied to be a Customer Service Agent at Midway. I also applied for that position there too. Unfortunately for you, I got my phone interview the 24th of April and I'm still waiting for a response. I'm only still waiting because my application status still says "in progress". Have you checked your application status?

Oh okay so we are in the same situation then. It's reassuring to me that someone else is going through the same thing I am. I really hope you hear something back! Let me know when you get an update.

Thanks and you too. Is it at Midway too? And what's your timeline for the application status?

I have a job right now so it's not a problem if they don't offer me the job. I just want to work closer to home. But yeah I just have to hope for the best and I can always apply again next year. It just plays with my the feelings the status "in progress". If they moved on with someone else, they can just give me the "closed/complete".

They told me at the end of my phone interview that I would hear back in a week. But it's been 5 weeks. Do you think I should lose hope already? It's not professional of them to keep someone waiting this long for a response. I had my phone interview for the CSA position at Midway April 24th and I still haven't gotten a response whether or not I'm getting a face-to-face interview. My application status has been at "in progress" since the phone interview. Is it normal to wait this long? Also, a friend just told me that that happened to him when he applied for a ramp agent position last year. His application status was in "in progress" for weeks after the phone interview and eventually he got an email apologizing for the delay and that he was on the waiting list and they were holding on to his application. If anyone failed the training, they said he would have been next on their calling list. However, no one failed training so that's why they sent the email to say thanks but no thanks. Supposedly they also said that he could apply again for the next job posting. My friend wouldn't have to wait a year. Has this happened to anyone? Is there any truth to it? Has anyone waited this long for a face-to-face? @KelbyTansey or anyone else's input will be much appreciated.

Hello! Happy Memorial Day! Kelby posted that it also means something else. Taken from the post is the following: "Hi @rickypoche, Don't worry - this is not a glitch. "Closed Complete" is a normal status in the application process. If you are selected to move forward, someone from our Recruiting Team will reach out. Kelby Moderator" So I'm confused because that means it has two meanings?

It means that Southwest has recieved your job application but haven't gotten around to looking at it. Next status will be "in progress" once they start getting around to it. Looks like you're on the right track!

@KelbyTansey @ChristinaAyala Can you help us please? Long story short it's been over a month since our phone interviews and we haven't gotten an update since then. I was told that I would hear something in a week but got nothing. My application status has been at "in progress" since April 23rd and @kimmygme 's status recently changed to "closed/complete". However, she hasn't recieved an email telling her if she did or didn't move forward. We both applied to be a CSA at Midway. Any help will be appreciated.

I really hope so! I find sort of strange that no one else has mentioned on my other post that they gotten an interview at Midway for CSA. I can't find anything on other websites. So it leads me to believe that they haven't done interviews for CSA. So far, they have done Customer Service Representatives for the call center. Have you considered going to Midway in person and asking for the hiring manager? We might know something quicker.

That "closed/complete" status is confusing to me. Some people here have said that it's a normal step in the hiring process and the recuiter will reach out to you whether you move forward or not. But others have said that that means your application is no longer active. I hope its the other option for you. Did it just said that today? I will stay hopeful till I get an email. That's when you know for sure you didn't get the job but since you haven't gotten an email, there is still hope. Just checked my status and it still says "in progress". Now I'm thinking that I will get a response this week and you too.

No, it's for the Customer Service Agent position. The job listing went live the 13th of April and was there for about 2 days before the job listing was taken away. I remember the CSR position was posted a couple of days before the CSA was posted.

Hello everyone! Has anyone applied for the customer service agent position at Midway airport in Chicago? I applied April 13th, got my phone interview April 24th, and I haven't heard anything since then. However, my application status has been "in progress" for about a month now. Has anyone gotten the in-person interview for that specific position at Midway? Or are people in the same situation as me? Still waiting after getting the phone interview? Any information or personal experiences will be much appreciated!

You're welcome. Even though it's been a month for the both of us, we just got to stay positive. As long as our status doesn't say "closed complete", we are still in the running! We will get a response eventually whether we move on or not. I hope we both get hired. It will be cool to know someone already at the job.

But does your application status still says "in progress"? As long as it says that, we should be okay. My status still says "in progress" but it will be almost a month without a single update. I really hope they call us back for the f2f. I gathered from a different website that they are conducting f2f interviews for customer service representatives for the call center here. That job was posted a couple of days before CSA was posted. So I'm hoping in a week or 2 we should hear something. I really hope they call me back. I really need the job right now and it's close to where I live. And besides, if we weren't in the running, we would have gotten a rejection email weeks ago. I'm taking it as a good sign that we haven't heard anything. They wouldn't waste our time just waiting. Also, don't bother calling back the number that was used for your phone interview. Southwest hires a third party to only conduct phone interviews from what I gathered. Other people in forums here would call back the number but never get a response. So don't be discouraged that you don't get someone to call back from that number.
