@kscokid About like 4 week is somewhat normal... But...don't give up the hope. The worse part is that: if you ever get turned down and you would like to apply for the SWA job again, you are going have to wait for a year.

@Blackgod91 Unfortunately, I got a email within two week after the interview, you know, but they said they will let me know in a month. When I got a email, they told me that they turned me down. On the other side, I went over and it said that as long you have the driver license. you will be fine. If your D/L is suspended, or revoked or other reason that you can't have, then you cannot be hired on the job.

@precious8990460 I don't know how to answer this to your questions. It is highly unlikely and Try to purchase the ticket online for your family and friend, see if you can click for early bird for the group. I cannot guarantee this. You might want to check this out: https://www.southwestaircommunity.com/t5/Boarding/Newbie-Early-Bird-Check-In-Questions/td-p/52303 It is highly unlikely that the family can preboarding with group along with grown children. @Haprst I am sorry to hear about your bad experience. I would recommends that you contact SWA in Dallas, TX and tell them about your bad experience. First, try the number at (214) 792-4000. If there is no answer or ever they can't answer to your calls or hung-up on you. Then write formal letter with statement of your bad experience to: Gary C. Kelly at: Southwest Airlines Co. 2702 Love Field Drive. Dallas, Texas 75235. Hopefully this would help you.

@Bella23 I know.. I know.. this is not a easy one. I do find the applicant process VERY frustrating. You see, as a hearing impaired applicants trying to land the job as a ramp agent. I do find this hard one, a difficult one. I have applied previously and this year, this is my 4th time applying, however, if you applied for a job and had a interview. If they tells you that they turned you down and ever apply for the job again. You will have to wait for a year. This whole process do cringe my stomach. I like to tell you for one things: Don't ever give up your hope and dreams.

@Blackgod91 I do sincerely apologize for not responding. I was trying to get some rest on the weekend and had a minor repair on roof at my daughter's house. It is not a serious one. I firmly believe that the airline is one of your passion and mine too. I have always loved flying the airplane since I was one years old. Believe it or not! I have flown the most of the time more than my family ever done. My brother has not flown the airplane since 1983 for some unknown reasons. The bottom lines is that: If you held a spotless records for longer as you have been driving and you tends to be careful. I think you might get a employment. Don't get me wrong. I know my brother-in-law got into accident, even thought he still employed by SWA. I have no way of knowing about these peoples who works at SWA could lands you a job there. If you have a lawyer, you might wants to ask them about legal questions that might help you with the benefit of employment. I just applied for the job with SWA and they since haven't called me yet. FInger crossed for you 🙂

@Lmkel68 Yes, you can. Just tell the agent at the airport gate. I have never been on the front row until my blood clot happened while I was on vacation. I was supposed to be on vacation for two weeks and ends up almost a month out of work. Doctor's order. Before you will fly, make sure that you contact SWA for information about enough room. This allow your leg to stretch out. I have never flown on the front row until I had a clot and after surgery and a doctor's clearance for me to go home. They gave me a front row.

I decided to fly with Pookie, unfortunely, SWA will not let me fly with my dog. It is so sad, I know Pookie gave me that sad eyes looking. Because he is much worried about me going without him while I am on the trip...

@GShook I had a bad experience with Midway. I was going to Hobby from Midway(MDW) for my uncle's funeral. At about the same time, my aunt was leaving Lambert for Hobby, I was about to leave and was about to arrive Hobby from MDW before my aunt can get to Hobby from Lambert, but to my dismay, the temperature was 32 with little rain. However, my flight was delayed for a hour and half! By that time when I got on the plane as my plane towed out the gate before deiceing, I got a text message from my sister in Houston letting me know that my aunt made to Hobby before my plane took off MDW. I do not recall O'Hare (ORD) ever had some weather delayment problem, like cold, fog and so on. At one vantage point, my plane did came in ORD from Memphis with dense of fog! There was never any delayment at ORD. I have been there for years since I was little. Midway on the other hand is airport on the block of residental area. If you look at the map, the airport is surrounded by the houses around the block.

@Blackgod91 Althought, they might wants to hire someone with good driving records. I am sure when you applied the jobs with Southwest. Did you or didn't you read the statement online if they asked you some questions before you answered "Yes" or "No" whetever you were arrested related to serious offense. I personally don't think that they will disqualified you for misdemeanor. Yes, they request a clean driving records.....I know it is a hard pills to swallow. This whole things with southwest making you a rententive for doing it so.

The bottom lines is that: There is no way, but just keeps on checking the emails, or wait until the phone rings. Southwest does have alot of card of tricks in their sleeve.
