I can say the same to you. You apparently cheerlead MULTIPLE TIMES through any complaint. Yes, I’ve requested a refund. Sorry to bother you with a valid issue, my apologies. No problem with the internet at all, nothing to see here folks.

I don’t understand why you posted those comments to me. You say I should do what you did...ask for a refund. I wrote that I was asking for a refund! You say COVID was a big problem for airlines (obviously)...not my point since I said terrible wifi had been a big problem for SWA for YEARS. COVID happened last year. 2020.

If you pay $8 for internet access like I did, and it doesn’t work, it’s annoying. Yes, flying in the air is amazing, etc etc. I don’t understand all the cheerleading going on. Paying for a product and not receiving it is wrong. If you purchased a hamburger, and received an empty bag with napkins, would that be cool? Internet access on SWA has apparently been a big problem for years. I’m waiting for my refund, but that doesn’t take away the aggravation of a long flight where I was unable to do basic web surfing. I did not have earbuds to watch a movie hence why I purchased internet. SWA should not charge $8 for a product that does not work.

When you pay $8 for internet access that doesn’t work, there’s not much to be thankful for. Had it been free... yeah, I would lower my expectations. But I feel ripped off since this is apparently an ongoing issue with SWA (years) and they still have the gall to charge unsuspecting passengers like myself $8 for a product that does not deliver. I have contacted SWA for a refund... we’ll see.

Jason isn’t venting about a free service... I paid $8 yesterday for wifi service that was excruciatingly slow or just flat out wouldn’t work on my 3 1/2 hour flight. I was able to read 3 short articles during that flight due to wifi struggles. So basically I donated $8 to SWA for nothing in return. Wifi is apparently free for frequent fliers on SWA...but Jason’s point was that he wanted to help people like me who shell out $8 for a product that doesn’t deliver. Unfortunately, I assumed it would work (!) and didn’t google “SWA wifi sucks” until the aircraft landed and I had cell service in order to find this discussion. I feel that SWA is stealing $8 a pop from people like me flight after flight, day after day. Not cool.
