I am honest to share that I may not fly even if it is a free flight now. The deal of 29.00 one way from SWA is amazing and attractive. It almost went back to those days had 29.00 one way With all of the COVID concern and safety guideline in California. I am very surprise that people still fly and all of the airline still operates as normal. I wish I could fly without caution even I have to pay more than 29.00 one way during this time. It has been an incredible year to everyone in 2020. I am uncomfortable to fly since 2/1/2020 which was the date from my last flight. I drove myself for three business trips this year. I am thankful to SWA that I cancelled two flights tonight and was able to get all my points back to my RR account and the refund of the taxes and fees on 12/31/2020. I am patient to wait one day that I can go back to fly with worry free in 2021.

Dear Southwest Friends, Just receive an email from Delta Airline that they will limit certain number of customers and block the middle seat until 1/06/2021. It was a surprise that I received an early flu shot of 2020 from Safeway on Wednesday night. I was anxious and concern that I do not want to get the flu before I get the flu shot. It takes two weeks to be effective. Hopefully, we all will get the COVID shot by 1/2021 or earlier. I can not wait until I can use all of my Southwest Airline repaid reward points to travel for FUN later. I drive my vehicle for business trip during this pandemic.

I would not mind to make an announcement of my birthday on the professional website. In fact, I enjoy receiving the e birthday card and greeting from various businesses. I used to receive the e birthday card from SW but I can not recall if I get one during the pandemic year. I received several birthday wishes and e card from other businesses in June as well usually. I love my birthday since it is the longest day of the year for the lucky 6/21. 😉

Dear SW friends This is the main reason and caution that I do not fly since 3/2020. At this time, I wish I could fly without any doubt. I am extremely uncomfortable to fly any airlines during this time. It is inconvenience of everyone's schedule in life and we are all in this journey together. I drove myself and practiced social distance, wore two layers of mask to isolate myself during three weeks of essential business trip from S. F. Bay Area to Riverside County in So Cal. I stayed at the Marriott family network with the high quality of hygiene and cleaning safety guidance. I would not stay even friend's house or airbnb since I do not know any danger of virus around the homes. All I can share is that God's shield protects me all over my surroundings and each of the locations I went and people I had contacted when I was out there by myself. It was a victory through God's grace and faith. I will drive peacefully with my next business trip back to So Cal in September. Practice your good common sense to travel safe if you choose to fly for the urgent matter.

Hello, friend I went through this journey two years ago since I misplaced my small wallet after I put on the gas for the rental car. The manager turned the car upside down for me to help me to look for it while I returned my car rental at the Enterprise office in Burbank. I was so stressful about everything at that time. As those top contributors indicated the whole process which I went through exactly what they described on the previous post. I went through the check point and went to the gate to sit down on the chair. Then, I discovered my small wallet was in the secret spot where I had never used it. It fell into this little space of my backpack while I was rush to get back on the road. It was a very scary and hilarious flight to me!

Dear SW friends, An interesting journey never follows a straight path Quote by Marjan Van Den Belt This journey started at the beginning of pandemic. I had contacted the customer relation of SW in regard to my unused travel funds from March until June THREE times. I had requested the extension of the total travel fund for the consideration of my circumstances that I need to care for two vulnerable people at home. It was an extremely disappointed experience after I wrote to the CEO of SW in a professional manner. I consider myself that I have been such a loyal member of SW since 1997 and I grew up with SW for more than two decades. I was extremely concern of my elder father and disability brother than myself. All of my friends asked me if I am sick from COVID-19 who will take care of them. The answer is unknown during this pandemic. I cancelled all of the hours from my assistant since 3/2020. I am so very grateful to GOD that I came back safe from my three weeks of essential business trip in Southern California. I drove myself to Southern California on 6/18 and came back gracefully on 7/9. I have been practicing good social distancing, wear two layers of mask and keep up my hygiene in Southern California. I must had a contact for more than 50 people since I was between different offices, hotels, gas stations and grocery stores for last three weeks. My temperature was checked by different business venues up to 7 times. During this special season, I am very uncomfortable to fly any airline even the middle seat is open. As a guide line of social distance is at least 6 feet apart. I do not understand that all of the airlines are in the business during this pandemic. During my business trip, I heard this guy was coughing when he left the lobby of the resort and I was very far away from him to move around for safety. There is no guarantee that it is safe if this person was coughing on the close up plane for several hours of flight. During my trip, I was able to navigate the website of SW and discovered the discussion board. Though, I was very disappointed with the CEO of SW that I have to thank SW for the open space with the open mind of the members to support one another. I have deligently followed the instruction and suggestion of the top contributor to extend the travel funds. As the top contributor indicated that there is a risk in everything of life. I really appreciate the system does work even they may take up to 5 days to update the new expiration date of 9/7/2022. I happened to book a return trip in September but I was not really sure if I am ready to fly in September. I cancelled it before I discovered and read the messages on the discussion board. On the next day, thankfully, I received the new expiration date of 9/7/2022. Dear friend, I went through this long path which was like a detour you see when you travel. Hope it will support you If you are desperate to save your travel funds and so cautious to fly like myself or you are in the difficult time for difficult reasons for example: care for your or your family medical's need or some other urgent issues. SW does not allow the travel funds to transfer to others, buy any other products and can only use for your own future flight. I am looking forward to see these travel funds covert to the reward points sooner or later so it will never expire and we will all fly whenever we are ready.
