No, you nitpicked over my 50% statement (which I already recanted) and added a sarcastic wink. Then you proceeded with a contradicting statement about hating people politicizing the masks. All the while, you are the only one talking about this being political. Nice try though. 😉 Meanwhile I'm on my 4th flight in the last 7 days, witnessing people not wearing their masks. This was my only point, there is nothing to agree or disagree with. I stated a fact and you brought up completely unrelated topics. The facts don't care about thoughts, ideas or feelings.

For the 10th time I'll say this again ... it doesn't change my point that people are not always wearing masks on flights. Get over it. You've got to move on and let it go.

Hey, go read the other post after mine on the other thread you trolled. People have verified what I said. You are taking this way too far. It's ridiculous that you go around trying to prove something different just because you don't like what others observed. I'm simply explaining what I saw. I'm not telling people they should or should not wear a mask. I am providing information. Period. You are not a moderator. You are not a mask enforcement auditor. Move along and stop causing problems.

While I don't share the same concern as you about the lack of masks, I appreciate your insight into what is really happening on flights. For some reason "chgoflyer" (another person here on the forums) decided to troll 2 of my replies to people about the lack of masks and insinuated that I was making up things. Thanks for your info. Good day!

In principle your idea is great, but as you said, logistically it sounds very difficult. About half the flights I book are 1 week out, so business travelers like me would certainly welcome a plan like yours. Concerning cost: I would pay any amount for my flights, I don't fly SW because it's cheap I fly SW because I live in the geographical SW (CA) and it has the most direct flights to the places I travel to. Money is not even a consideration when I book a ticket, but I realize most people don't have this attitude.

I have a love/hate relationship with the open middle seat policy. Obviously the reason to love it is I have no one sitting next to me anymore. But I hate it because SW now has 33% less seats for sale and the plane is sold out more often. I realize less people are flying right now so that opens up more seats. However, when you fly as often as I do yo still run into a lot of sold out flights. I sure hope they open up middle seats soon. I have been flying all over Europe/Asia recently and one of the the airlines I was on did not have the middle seat open.

Yeah, I'm sure food and drinks are certainly a contributing factor. Doesn't bother me in the least. I was only responding to give some insight into what a frequent flyer sees.

I'm still on said flight, and while I didn't get a precise count, it's a large percentage. Though, admittedly it's probably not quite 50%. However, last night the flight I was on probably had 20 people on it. That flight was literally less than 50% wearing mask. Look troll, I'm providing facts on what I see. I'm not providing policy or telling people to violate policy. I'm telling people what I see. Move along.

I flew through DEN today. Took the tram to terminal C. Thankfully people were acting normal and did not unnecessarily stay away from other people. If you have fear of standing close to people, perhaps the tram (or airports in general) are not for you.

This is why I love Southwest. I fly a lot, I'm on at least 2 flights a week. My wife uses my companion status at least monthly. She's Russian but has an American drivers license and a Green Card. Her passport however still has her maiden name. This doesn't matter much because when we fly international we always fly on United, as SW doesn't fly to Russia and Europe which is where most of our international travel takes us. So given all this, I registered my wife as my "companion" with her married last name (my name) with SW. Today we are flying to Cancun. We are on the flight now. The problem arose when we got to the ticket counter to get our boarding pass (you can't get a mobile barding pass for international travel). The ticket I booked and her passport didn't match due to the name problem I just explained. This was actually my fault as it was an oversight. I set her as my companion many years ago and didn't even think about her last name being different for international travel. This meant we had to cancel the ticket, change the name of my "companion", rebook the ticket and check her in. This cannot be done by the ticket agent. So I called the A+ Preferred number and got someone on the phone in 2 minutes. It took a while (25 minutes), but they did it. The next problem was my wife's ticket wasn't going to have TSA Pre check anymore because her background check was done with her married name and not her maiden name. Of course the line was long for non-TSA Pre (I hate you TSA!), so she was going to be late for boarding. I had boarding pass A1, she had A19 previously but due to the new ticket she now had B something. We had 5 minutes to take the train and pass security, which was never going to happen for her, but I had a chance. So I left her and ran. I got at the gate right when check in was suppose to start and I was greeted by an agent asking me, "are you the man with a wife that is late due to a name change on a ticket?" I said "yes and how do you know that?" She explained they called her and that we will wait for her, don't worry. All this immediately put my mind at ease. I texted my wife (who was 15 minutes behind me) the good news to put her at ease. As it happens, the plane boarded 15 minutes late and she actually made it to the gate right when I was getting on the flight at the agent told her to just board with me as they understood the situation. Thank you SW agents. You are the reason I fly SW.

Thanks for the suggestion. Interestingly, I am on another SW flight right now (I was on a SW flight last night while making the last post), and the IFE is working just fine on all devices. The laptop is not giving the redirect when connected via laptop browser.

As I just told you on my other post from the other thread .. "I was on a SW flight last night while typing that. I am again on a SW flight RIGHT NOW while typing this. 50% of the cabin is not wearing a mask." You are simply incorrect, at least for these 2 flights. And, for the other 2 flights I take every week.

The problem: The Inflight Entertainment systems doesn't always work on MAC/PC. It's not user error. I can watch live TV on my mobile browser without issue on both iOS and Android devices 99% of the time. However about 20% of the time, it won't work on PC/Mac browsers. To duplicate: Open Safari/Chrome on a Windows 7/10 or Mac Catalina. Navigate to southwestwifi.com and you will be redirected to southwest.com/com which only advertises the Inflight Entertainment, it doesn't let you acutely log in and use the product. When this happens to 1 person on the flight, it happens to everyone. There is no middle ground. Meanwhile, all mobile devices allow login and work just fine. My credibility: I fly on SW 50+ times a year. Been A-List Preferred with companion status for a decade. I'm a software developer and can build websites from the ground up. So, the idea that I simply don't know what I'm doing is impossible. I fly with both Windows and Mac laptops. This is really annoying as I prefer to watch on larger devices.
