DEN Ramp hire here. I officially accepted my offer letter/start date back on the 15th, and back then my hiring status was In Progress (I’m waiting for my I-9 documents to fill out) and I just checked and now it says Under Review? Isn’t that a step backwards?

Good Evening Everybody:
I know in a previous post I mentioned about creating a training aid for airport codes, and I have the format down that I wanted to use, and wanted to share it with everybody and get feedback. This is being done in Excel, more so for me because I learn better with Excel, but everyone is welcome to use this when I am fully complete with it. As demonstrated in the attached photo, the City/States are in the left-hand column, with the column next to it for the airport codes. If the correct airport code is entered, the cell will automatically highlight green to signify the correct answer has been entered. Just sharing my progress so far, and I will add the full excel sheet to this thread when I am done with it. Thanks!

Hey Everybody:
I'm creating some different things in Excel to help study and prepare for training and tests during my training phase next month after I start on the 20th. I choose to do certain things in Excel because I learn better for some reason. Anyway, I am making a spreadsheet for myself to where I have all city/states that SWA flies to/from in one column, and the next column over will be where I put the airport codes to test myself. If I put the correct 3 letter code, that box turns green automatically and so on and so forth. Would anyone else aside from myself use something like this? Again, I am just doing it for myself but would be happy to share.

Okay folks so I recently received an e-mail stating I would receive my start date (DEN Ramp) on 5/9, but 5/9 has come and gone with no start date. The only difference I have noticed is that my Application Status has changed to "In Progress" with no other information. Would anyone happen to have a guess as to why I did not get my start date when I was told I would get it even though there was an application update on the back end? I tried reaching out yesterday but have not gotten a response. Any info would be appreciated. Thank You So Much!

Hey everybody! Question: So I received an e-mail 1 week ago saying "Welcome to Southwest Airlines" and that start date will be in June, that I would be contacted soon with the exact date. Those of you rampers or anyone that have recently received a start date, how long did it take you to get it? I'm getting just a little bit antsy as June creeps closer and I don't get something in my e-mail just for the fact that I want to be able to plan my move, new apartment, and getting settled into Colorado life properly 🙂

I am so excited and pumped y'all. I have been flying exclusively with Southwest Airlines since 2004/2005 when I was just but 11/12 years old. My key lanyard is Freedom One themed, my everyday/laptop backpack is the Basecamp Backpack from the Southwest Store, my wife and I have the Priority Southwest Credit Card, I've got a bunch of memorabilia, I've sat in the Captain's Chair during a layover, y'all get the picture. I live, eat, breathe, and sleep Southwest practically.
I have been trying to get in to Southwest for over 10 years now and I am finally glad to say that I made it. I'll be part of the Ramp family at DEN starting in June! Start date is being worked out and I will have that shortly. The amount of sheer happiness I have about this is unmeasurable.

Good Morning Everybody:
I am currently in the process of DEN Ramp. My background was completed on April 15th, however, when I got the background report copy, I noticed I unintentionally forgot to add one short term (2 months) employer on the application/resume, so I immediately made the corrections, reached out to my recruiter and she said I should be fine, and that I should get in touch with my Employment Screening Coordinator. I have tried, but only heard from them once in the past two weeks. This has got me thinking something is wrong in the process or otherwise, since I have not gotten any calls, emails, or even the Employment Screening Complete e-mail.
Does anyone know if this is a normal part of the process or if there is someone I can reach out to in order to help me figure out what my next steps are? I would appreciate it. Thank You So Much!

Had a phone interview with my recruiter on 4/7, and received a CJO from her not even 10 minutes after we concluded our phone call for Ramp Agent at DEN. Initiated background check the same day, did drug screen and fingerprints on 4/8, received notification from Sterling that my background screen was complete on 4/15, and now I wait to hear official word back from my recruiter/employment screening specialist that I passed so I can notify my friends and family about this amazing opportunity. I have been pining for SWA for close to 10 years and I finally got my shot. Patience is one thing definitely needed throughout this whole process. I'm anxious like I have never been before :).
