Fellow Flyers, SWA previously had an awesome map tool that showed you the best deals from your home city. For example, my home city is Las Vegas and the map showed all the places I could go to for under $100. I could change the setting to $300 and it would show me where I could get away for $300 or less. I have signficant anxiety with flying. I get heart papitations, rapid breathing, and sweating when i fly. It REALLY helps if i can sit close to a door. My therapist says its a control thing...when i sit close to the door i feel more in control. I always ask the desk agent for pre-boarding for a special seating request and SWA always accomodates my request. This is so helpful and I genuinely appreicate their effort. I love SWA!

There is no problem using your card and earning points. However, most companies that extend credit (such as mortgage lenders) will not allow you to charge your loan payments. It is using credit to pay for credit.

I think you have to log in to your account, and be in the account details screen in order to see the promotions. If SWA is going to take the approach you mention then i would hope they would give you some type of notice when you log in that you should check for promotions.

Those low-cost car rental agencies do shady things like this to me also. You have to be assertive at the rental car desk and make sure they remove any of those charges. You are not required to accept those charges. I wish SWA had to give feeback on partners that have shady business practices.

Something doesn't sound right because i believe you can have both the SW RR business card and the personal card and get points for both. You may want to call the SW RR office for assistance. Chase reps won't be able to help you.

One thing you can do is get the Rapid Rewards Visa card. You get 2 RR points for every dollar you spend so at least you get something in your personal account for the purchase.

The miles you get from signing up for the card will give you a big boost. However, it is still very difficult to get enough miles for a companion pass. That has been my experience.
