Have to agree with everyone else on this. We use our Companion Pass for Caribbean and Yucatan/Mexico travel all through the spring & early summer each year (before hurricane season), and as of this weekend Southwest has pushed their international service restart date back another month now, to June 6. CP extension or "freeze" option would be great for sure!

If you have a Kindle Fire Tablet made after Nov 2018, you can get the SW App to work. You need an APK installed, but it only works on Android 6 or above. Fire Tablets pre Nov 2018 were Android 5.

Yeah, I can see that, and have no problem paying for the ticket. I find this part of the "rules" funny though: The Member and the Companion must check in together and, if asked, present the Companion Pass card at the Southwest Airlines' Ticket Counter, Skycap podium, or Departure Gate in order for the Companion to travel. I have seen that enforced, oh like.... NEVER. We check in seperate, on-line, never show up together or go through bag check or security together. We use mobile boarding passes on our phones and have never once been questioned by anyone about who was a companion or not. As long as we had boarding passes it was as if we had both purchased our own tickets.

What happens if I am flying as a companion, and the Companion Pass holder misses the flight (traffic, long security, etc..)? Do I have to "miss" the flight too and not get on? We use CP a lot for business trips, and would hate for both of us to miss a flight (and subsequent meeting) if only one of us can't make the gate in time for any reason.

Amen to that! I was just commenting to my travel companion last week about the rediculous amount of pre boards, with their entire family tagging along with them! I had a Business Select ticket and sat almost to the middle of the plane to get an ailse seat! I am also A List Prefered and we have Companion Pass too.
