After so many serious topics lately, we thought it might be time to dust off the ol' Write Your Own Caption feature.  This time, we have a Southwest Pilot conducting the preflight walk around inspection (click on pic to enlarge).  Okay, all you witty inhabitants of the blogosphere, it's your turn to come up with a caption.

Nice to have some fun, love your airline. What is the final decision regarding assigned seating? I didn't partisipate in the survey, I should have. I am really praying you left it the same. I guess I believe in the philosophy "IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!" I truly wish you could enforce the "carry on" requirement. I have so often seen passengers "stuff" excessive size carry on's (suit cases) into the overhead, it is beyond rediculous. I understand there are those who must, for business reasons, have carry on's BUTa reasonable size should be enforced and there should be only one per passenger, fair is fair. If one of the flight attendents stood on the outside of the aircraft at the actual entrance, with the "guage" for carry on's and tags for those who exceed the limit to put with the checked in luggage, it wouldn't be too long before the appropriate size would be used. Just a thought but I think abiding by these rules woulds make the flow of passengers smoother and not "tick" off people like me that check in luggage, out of consideration for my fellow passengers. Anyway, have a great day and keep up the good work.

i really am nutty about sw airlines---my daughter lives in the buffalo ny area--i live in tampa---i try to take your non-stop flight whenever i travel to/from home--i appreciate the reasonable price, courtesy of the staff, punctuality and most of all how simple you make travelling---no hassle whatsoever--check my bags at curbside--get ,my boarding pass if i did not get it printed beforehand and then relax til flight time---i recommend your airline to everyone---the nonstop feature impresses everyone and lots of people are unaware that there is an airline doing nonstop on these routes---thanks--you thought of everything that matters---i'd rather eat a bag of nuts on an airline like yours than pay 3 times as much for delays and hassles even if they served me steak--

I absolutely prefer to fly Southwest for many reasons. Here are two of them: Firstly, the flight staff are more like friends, not service staff. They are cordial and very helpful, joke with you, and laugh. Flying Southwest is like being at a social gathering held in the heavens. Secondly, I like the fact that the Southwest fleet consists of only one type of plane. I know where everything is on the plane every time and know what good things to expect. Flying on a Southwest 737 is as familiar to me as driving my oun automobile.

OMG, you guys! Great site! But now I have to throw in my 2 cents: I MISS YOU GUYS!! My primary travel now takes me between Sacramento CA and DALLAS.... and I can't get there from here! I was one of your most frequent flyers - about twice a month to various Southern CA locations. Now I am forced to use American Airlines, and they are HORRIBLE! They will NOT work with you in any way, if you can't make a flight they will keep your money and do not allow you to put it towards another flight... and so many other generally unfriendly nasty policies, and attitudes. I have never been more unhappy. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, try to get this Wright Amendment crap reversed, and give me Love Field from Sacramento! I have signed the petition and am actively campaigning on your behalf, but it can't happen soon enough for me!! I hate American Airlines. Unfortunately, they have the only non-stops from Sacramento to DFW. Any other choices involve changing planes and generally making a 3hr. 15min. trip into a 12 hour ordeal. LUV you guys, and miss you terribly. I hope I can fly you again SOON!

I like the "Grandma?" caption. What I like about Southwest the best are the airplane crackers and when the flight attendents sing or crack jokes over the intercom. My husband and I fly from CT to Orlando non-stop whenever we can. We would really like it if we could fly to Daytona Beach, but since the fares are low, we can fly to Orlando (sometimes Jacksonville) and rent a car to drive the rest of the way for less money and time than it takes to fly into Daytona Beach with stopovers.

I fly Southwest approx. two (2) times a month and will earn another free flight after one more flight. In the past year I have encouraged my friends and relatives to fly Southwest and they have totaled by my count, 23 round trips. The issue I have is I don't get any credit for referring them to fly SW. Could this be looked at for future consideration? Secondly, I love the way boarding is done at Southwest, (ABC) with the exception of one problem. At some airports such as my home (RDU) the seats are to close to the boarding area. Often times when I walk in to line up people, sitting down will say, " I am in line"! This is where the problem comes in because Southwest does not post the definition of in line. If they are not standing in line, I usually go right to the front and attract very angry stares. I have been challenged a couple of times but never to the point of confrontation. At airports such as Tampa, where the seats are far away from the boarding lanes there is no problem. Could this be address?

ASSIGN SEATING ON SOUTHWEST AIRLINES? KEEP IT THE WAY YOU HAVE TO THIS DAY AS SEATING BY PEOPLE BOARDING IN GROUPS (GROUP A, B ,C). I FLY SOUTHWEST AIRLINES ALOT AND I ENJOY IT. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY REWARD US BY FLYING THEIR AIRLINE AFTER 8 ROUND TRIPS BY GIVING US FREE ROUNDTRIP THAT SOUTHWEST FLIES.

This is the best airline in the world. You have never been late on arrivals or departures. The staff is absolutely wonderful and pleasant. I really enjoy it when the captain gives information on the flight. I recommend this airline to all my friends and family. I LOVE the direct flight to Islip!
