I may have my family's baggage as well as mine, it only matters when you get to the gate. You are welcome to carry as much (more than I want to for sure) luggage around the airport.

The air travel experience will improve as the TSA rules are enforced and appropriate fees are incurred by passengers who wish to push the envelope.

The "silent majority" will celebrate this limitation to what gets carried on the plane, as you have seen as the origin of this post.

So far i have had no issue with stowing my backpack with wheels under the seat.  It fully fits there without sticking out.  But I will be sure to carry it on from now on.
