My husband is booked as a companion for a round trip flight. He has to take a different flight to our destination but can still fly back with me. If he doesn’t take the outbound flight will his return flight be cancelled?

I think it would cancel him, can you book two one ways? I always book one ways on SW for a couple of reasons. If the price has gone up and it would cost to cancel and book two one ways, I would call SW customer service and have them take him off the segment that he won't be flying on.

1. Contact customer service with your question.
2. In the future, for a variety of reasons -- and this being one of them, consider purchasing one way flights rather than round trips.
