Policy exceptions for coronavirus

We had to cancel a trip because of coronavirus fears and will have travel funds expire and I think southwest should make an exception right now to the expiration policy since these are very unusual circumstances and they should appreciate their customers.

This is  cutomer to customer forum. Thus SW might not see any request made here.

My suggestion is that you contact the company:

@Dp1 also take a look at the link below, it includes the following quote:

"I have travel funds that are set to expire soon, but I am not comfortable booking a new ticket yet, will Southwest extend the expiration date?

Please contact a representative at 1-800-I-Fly-SWA to discuss options."

The way Southwest is handling the Coronavirus is unacceptable. Travel vouchers for 6 months! That’s terrible! We should get a full refund. Yes this is out of their control but having my trip canceled is out of my control too. I used to be a loyal Southwest customer but not anymore. For a company who prides themselves on customer service, this is not how to treat your customers.
