@scottjabel I hope you continued to reach out to SWA through other forums besides the SWA community site. The community is probably not the most appropriate way to invite SWA’s to an event.

@JulieA85 I have seen several posts that the process is REALLY LONG and takes several months. Some started the process in July to being hired in mid December.

@Mgomez57 you started the process in July, completed the form in October, and just now heard back in December that you were no longer being considered because what you submitted was incomplete? That would be hard and frustrating for anyone to hear. If you still do want to pursue a job at SW, remember to be positive, and don’t let this candidate experience hold you back from future opportunities. Good luck to you!

@edgarmanzo0916 unfortunately, I don’t know if anyone in recruiting will respond back to you on here. Keep in mind the large number of applicants they are currently working with.
Not sure what the background is with your question, but you should probably just let the process play out and go from there. Good luck!

@DD2 Wow that time line was dragged out. I think it says a lot about an applicant to hold on that long for a job with any company (especially in todays job market). Congratulations on your new role.

@Debratracyk If you don’t hear back, I would call 1-800-I-FLY-SWA and ask to speak to someone in the People department.

What is the position you applied for? Most large companies only pay relocation for a small number of hires.

There’s no denying that this has been a very frustrating travel day for SW passengers (luckily my family was able to fly today with only a delayed flight). It’s obvious that many trips have been negatively impacted, and passengers have a right to be upset. I hope SW is able to do the right thing, and make it up to the impacted passengers. I do not want to see SW become an airline that delivers poor service like AA, DL, and UAL.

Sorry to hear you did not make it to the first interview round. Remember to look for buzz words from the job posting, and use them on your resume. I heard there was tons of interest for this position, and likely others might have had more experience. Good luck for the next time you apply in the future.

@shoneejay It’s my understanding that once you apply for a role, you cannot go back and edit. General rule… always review everything before you hit submit.
