I would agree that a better airport code would be used for the Andromeda galaxy.
Thanks for clarifying.

Sounds like you will qualify for family boarding - that comes after a couple of dozen preboard passengers, all of the A passengers, but before the B passengers.

I do not see any value in purchasing the early bird or business select. Your choice of seats is directly proportionate to the number of preboard passengers that go before ANYONE even if you bought all of the outstanding stock for Southwest.
On Southwest, you have the perfect storm because the preboard people MUST go first, then everyone else. Since Southwest has open seating, there you go!
Southwest can unload a plane and have new passengers boarded and ready to go in less than an hour which translates into more flights and more margin. Other airlines spend precious time fiddling around with passengers who cannot read and find their seat or trying to convince Betty or Bob that they are in the wrong seat. Not Southwest.

Does anyone know the code for the Andromeda galaxy? Maybe ADG?

My suggestion is to hire Perry Mason and he will put Paul Drake, Drake Detective Agency, on the case.
You will spend about $15,000 but you will certainly get your LUV Voucher.

My voucher expired in July of 2022 and with a phone call, I was able to get it extended through the end of the year. I used it in September of this year and all is well.
Southwest met its obligation and the voucher had an expiration date, per terms of use. If you want to sue, go blue and get a tattoo, that's up to you.
The court will laugh at you and I would expect Southwest to counter-sue you for a frivolous lawsuit and collect all of their costs of defending such a suit.
I suggest you do something as innovative as CALLING AND ASKING FOR AN EXTENSION of the LUV Voucher.

I preboard on every flight. It is my right.
I do not need the wheelchair but do meet the criteria. I often have one companion but never five. I agree that it should be better managed.
Ultimately, Southwest created this perfect storm. When you have unassigned seats and also must comply with the Air Carrier Act, those that preboard get the best selection of seats. That is not to be blamed on people who preboard, that is Southwest's own brew.
This subject has been complained about for YEARS and has not changed.

I doubt this to be true. It may have been removed because it would interfere with equipment or was already damaged.
You will have to prove your case. Southwest hears stories all day long. Next we will hear that they removed a rare Rembrandt painting from your luggage and sold it on the black market.

The first point of contact is appropriate for asking about preboarding. The baggage check is a place to do that because they can issue boarding passes too.
The problem became apparent when he wanted to sell the upgrade.

I understand. But self identifying and being specific regarding seat assignment would satisfy any read of the Federal regulation. Instead, I was encouraged to buy an upgrade.
How many people would surrender their rights at the baggage check desk and pay for what they entitled to receive? Southwest needs to get their people in order. I've filed a complaint and will give feedback here on how the proceed.
I will guess that this incident will result in "employee education" so that they don't open a can of worms legally.
I'm disappointed.

Tonight in Orlando, I checked one bag and indicated the need to preboard due to a medical condition. I do not need assistance boarding.
The baggage check agent gave me a hard time about it and tried to sell me the upgrade check-in and then offered to give me "extra time". I said NO. I know my rights. I told him that he was in violation of the Air Carrier Access Act for debating my condition and reason for preboarding.
What is Southwest doing? Are you training your people to make passengers buy the preboarding? Your gate agent tonight in MCO is disgusting and doesn't know the law.
In the revised final rule published on May 13, 2008, the Department expanded the preboarding requirement to cover not only people who need a specific seat assignment or who need to stow their personal folding wheelchairs, but also to cover passengers that “need additional time or assistance to board, stow accessibility equipment, or be seated.” For a passenger to be entitled to preboarding, that passenger must self-identify at the gate as being a person with a disability that needs to preboard for one of the above-listed reasons. In the section-by-section analysis of the preamble to the final rule, the Department noted that the obligation to preboard passengers with disabilities “exists regardless of the carriers’ preboarding policies for other persons (e.g., families with small children).”

Your two friends are wrong. They had no business questioning people about preboarding.
Under Federal law, you present and request preboard due to a medical condition. You can either get assistance boarding, or not. Your choice.
For the gate agent to ask any more questions begins to violate the individual's rights. If your two friends believe that people are gaming the system, then resign as they did.
Honor the preboard requests and keep it moving.

You agree to their terms and conditions when you buy the ticket.
If you do not like Southwest policies, put out a tender offer for all of the common stock, acquire the company and write whatever policies that you like.
As an alternative take a private jet.

They are not covering "replacement value" but "current value".
If you want replacement value, contact your homeowner insurance and tell them that you want replacement value on everything in the home, no deductible.
Then, when your premium triples, you are totally covered.
