Hi    For every dollar you spend on a flight you earn points.  If you purchase a Wana get away flight you earn 6 points per and for a Anytime ticket you get 10 points per and a Business ticket you get 12 points per.  With the Southwest Chase credit card you would get the companion pass faster.  With the creidt card every dollar you spend with Southwest and partners you would earn 2 times the dollar spent.  Example if you spent $4000.00 on flights this year you missed out on 8,000 points.  Also If you get the credit card now your 25,000 or 50,000 bonous points could post before the end of the year!   Please check out my posting in Stories " Why I love Southwest" ... You would get all the points for the purchase of the tickets if you used the Southwest Chase credit card pay for them.  Each person who flew the flight would get their own points just for the flight.    So if you paid say $600.00  you would get 1200 points from the credit card company. ... Hi    You should sign you children up for Rapid Rewards so they will get credit for those flights..  The points they earn will never expire if there is activity in their account at least once every 24 months.    The only way for you to get points is if you purchased the flights with the Southwest Airlines Chase credit card.   ... Hi    The credit can only be used by the person who's name is on the canceled ticket.  You have to wait for credit to expire before you can extend for a new expiration.  you would need to call Customer service at that point.  ... View more
