If the airline starts charging those customers of size for the 2nd seat they won’t purchase it and you will in turn be uncomfortable because they would be next to you encroaching on your space    Alaska has a policy (or did when I looked in to it several years back) where as long as there was an open seat when the aircraft took off they would refund a COS extra seat    if a plane has open seats why not make everyone comfortable? Full flight try to get the COS on a flight where they can be comfortable without upsetting someone by bumping them    everyone should be able to fly comfortably and the airlines are making Seats smaller even if we were all fit and healthy we will soon all expand to the seat next to us with the smaller seats by day  ... Have you tried the priceline express deals or Hotwire deals? Sometimes I have gotten some nice hotels for the price of 1-2 star hotels    glad to hear your trip went well though.  personally I’m very picky about my hotels (inn’s/drive up to door without security scare me 😂)  ... View more

After you entered the code with the RR number and claimed the points did it send you a confirmation email or show a confirmation page? If you are asking in hopes Southwest would offer such a pass I highly doubt it even after the last December mess planes are still booked to capacity (at least most of the 100 segments/64 one ways I have taken) this year have been full or almost full    If they did a pass like that they would probably get bad PR for never having available flights day of (to popular destinations)  ... As of this posting (5:30pm 10/26) there are 4 seats left on the 1:55pm flight.  do you have A list or WGA+ fare if so you can do same day confirmed at midnight day of departure    Keep in mind as standby you may not be given a boarding pass until boarding has begun so odds are you will be in a middle seat for 2 hours in case that’s a deal breaker for you.  ...
