I have found just the opposite. Over the past few years, regardless of the season, SWA flights have been entirely too warm. If you are flying, please bring a sweater or jacket. It is much easier for one who is cold to put on another layer than for one who is too warm to take their skin off. I’ve flown professionally for most of my USAF career, and am constantly amazed by the number of passengers who dress for a flight as casually as if they are going to visit in their living room. While flying is much safer than traveling by car there is still the possibility of being required to exit the aircraft under emergency conditions into the elements (i.e. sturdy shoes and somewhat protected from the weather).

Actually, disabled pre-boards are supposed to board first. It is the gate agents' responsibility to make sure this is done. I cannot count the number of times I have stood up (with my cane) when pre-boards were called only to be ignored by the gate agent who wasn't properly trained. So many time in fact that I have adopted the practice of speaking to the gate agents prior to boarding to inform them of my disability status. Additionally, it is unbelievable how many able bodied people sit in the preboard area when one approaches using a cane!

If guns kill: cars cause accidents; pencils mis-spell; and spoons make people fat! More people have been killed on on by airplanes by STUPID PEOPLE using box cuts and bombs. Armed air marshals have prevent more deaths and injuries than you will ever be aware of!

It was probably taken by TSA. As far as I know TSA is the only agency that X-Rays the bags to know what is inside.
