Hopefully the issue is now resolved but I'm posting for reference in case others in the future have the same question about how to send an email to Southwest. "Email" messages are sent using an online form, here are the steps: Click "Contact Us" at the bottom of any of the forum pages. Under the "Email Us" heading click on "Send us a message" Complete the form in the pop up window. Click "Send E-mail" at the bottom right part of the form.

@cwelborn123 I don't work for Southwest but I'm going to *guess* that they still don't work with third-party recruiters. @KelbyTansey? Also for awareness we won't be able to see the image you posted until it's approved by moderators.

@arennie10 has your son ever listed to pilots & air traffic controllers communicate on LiveATC.net? The web site is free though if I remember correctly the phone app has a nominal charge. https://www.liveatc.net/ I listen when I have family members flying and when I have wifi on my flights. Not all airports are covered but they have coverage all over the world. During the takeoff portion of the flight I listen for the flight on Clearance Delivery, then follow to Ground, Tower, and Departure. FlightAware provides a map view of the plane's progress throughout the flight, to include position, alititude, and airspeed: https://flightaware.com/ Let me know if you want additional references for airport diagrams, departure procedures, or arrival procedures, they are publicly available.

I'm a Southwest customer active in the discussion forums and I don't recall seeing anyone mention cover letters. The advice I've seen is to sign up for job alerts so that you'll be ready when a flight attendant (or other job) posting goes live. See this thread for additional detail: https://www.southwestaircommunity.com/t5/Southwest-Careers/When-do-flight-attendant-applications-typically-open-up/m-p/95232/highlight/true#M5847

@jdblog wrote: Btw, we called to ask about the military discount and it’s actually more expensive than the ticked we booked on-line It depends on when you're buying the ticket with the military rate. The third party web site linked below does a good job of explaining when it may make the most sense to pursue a military rate ticket, for example when buying close the departure and/or when Wanna Get Away fares are not available Here's a quote followed by the source link: "Overall the Southwest military discount is perfect for when you need to make last-minute travel plans. In those cases, the “Wanna Get Away” prices can be booked up, and you might be left with very high prices. Regular rates can sometimes be over half what the “Wanna Get Away” or the military rate might be." https://collegerecon.com/southwest-military-discount/

@SWAsusie wrote: Will the 70,000 enrollment points from the business credit card and the 40,000 points from the personal card count towards CP? Yes the count for CP. Note that the enrollment points available in the offers are subject to change at any time. @SWAsusie wrote: Also, I envision staying at a high-end hotel (booked thru SW website) in January to obtain up to 20,000 points (some may even be more). From what I've read, these points should go towards the CP? No, according to the program terms & conditions, if they are bonus points, "Partner bonus points (excluding bonus points earned on the Rapid Rewards Credit Cards from Chase) do not qualify as Companion Pass qualifying points". However users have reported otherwise in the past. I personally wouldn't count on them for CP but your mileage may vary. Source: https://www.southwest.com/rapidrewards/tiers-more-companion-pass

Do I need to "redeem" them for the CP? No, you should see both the CP and the points in your online RR account. The points are there for you to book travel for yourself or anyone you choose.

This is some of the wording provided on the Southwest "Boarding the Plane" page. Note there is a difference between "preboarding" and "need extra time to board": "Preboarding is available for Customers who have a specific seating need to accommodate their disability and/or need assistance in boarding the aircraft or stowing an assistive device. If a Customer with a disability simply needs a little extra time to board, we will permit the Customer to board before Family Boarding, between the “A” and “B” groups. Those Customers who need extra time to board will receive a new boarding pass with an extra time designation. The designation serves as notification to our Operations (boarding) Agent that the Customer should be permitted to board before Family Boarding." @Oconnell620 if it's returned to you are you able to come back to the forums to share the timing? Reports from others seem to show it takes about 10 days or so to receive good news from the time a serial number is added to the report. It will help us to help others (most of us are customers) if you follow up here 🙂 Thanks in advance!

The Southwest Contract of Carriage is available online, you'll want to refer to pages 29 through 31 of the .pdf document: https://www.southwest.com/assets/pdfs/corporate-commitments/contract-of-carriage.pdf The referenced pages outline the steps required to report the loss & file a claim, explain reimbursement limits, and describe baggage delivery for located items. The most time critical item for the scenario described is that "Passenger must notify Carrier of the claim and receive a Baggage report number not later than four hours after... arrival of the flight on which the loss, damage, or delay is alleged to have occurred" You can also contact Southwest directly via Twitter, click the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the forum pages for their handle.
