Good question, these are fun to research. No, the tool is correct, for example there is a non-stop flight #5192 on Saturday, January 4th. I didn't search for additional dates but if you wanted to look then the easiest way is to use the Flight Schedule calendar (weekly view then search for "non" as you toggle through each of the weeks). Here is the view where I found the flight I mentioned: https://www.southwest.com/air/flight-schedules/results.html?departureDate=2019-12-29&destinationAirportCode=MCO&originationAirportCode=LGA&scheduleViewType=weekly&timeOfDay=ALL_DAY

I've never applied to work at Southwest but I'm active here in the discussion threads. From what I've seen the review/call/follow up time is varied and potentially long (flight attendant positions are the longest reports I've seen). So long as you continue to see the status on the dashboard you should still be in the running. Good luck!

See this Southwest page: "2019 Rapid Rewards® Qualifying Transactions for 2020 Status" Be very careful as some of the partner activity only requires a purchase in 2019 while some of the partner activity requires the points to post in 2019. Obviously in your situation you only want the ones that only require the purchase or transaction in 2019. Also for reference this is another related thread: https://www.southwestaircommunity.com/t5/Rapid-Rewards/Laithwaites-Wine-Offer/td-p/99128 Good luck!

Have you been in touch directly with Southwest (most of us here are other customers too)? Twitter may be your best starting point, their Twitter handle and other contact options (to include snail mail) are also available by clicking the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the discussion forum pages. It may also be worth sending a letter via snail mail, maybe that way you could have something back in writing and on letterhead from the corporate headquarters.

Can they pack it? Yes. Would I do it? No, not unless they plan to bring it in their carry on luggage as I feel like there is an increased risk of damage or theft of electronic items in checked baggage. Plus, you're going to California, who needs a PS4 when there is so much to do out there! On the flip side, it's fascinating for me to read posts on other blogs and forums where some of the posters state they are walking away from their million miler lifetime status due to issues they've experienced with their other selected airlines.

Is your question about when you're eligible for the upgraded boarding credit? You don't need to wait until you've had the card for a year if that is what you're asking. Terms from the Chase site: "Anniversary year means the year beginning with your account open date through the first statement date after your account open date anniversary, and the 12 monthly billing cycles after that each year. Eligibility for Upgraded Boardings are for accounts that switch to this product: Account open date is the date the switch is official in the Chase system" Source: Click "Terms and Conditions" on this page: https://creditcards.chase.com/southwest/priority-credit-card

You're welcome. There are also some great cockpit videos on YouTube, a really good one I just watched is of an Aer Lingus on approach to San Francisco. It provides a good sense of the flight deck activity (checklists, radio communications, and coordination) with great scenery. If there was a good Southwest video like this then I would have referenced that one instead!

I'm another customer but active in the discussion forums so the only thing I can share is that the timing really seems to vary. I read of one person for a flight attendant position where the process took over a year from the time they applied but that seems like an extreme situation. Good luck!

@TheMiddleSeat wrote: Unless you have that in writing, I would not rely on what you heard. Southwest has no idea what your order date is and will base the date on when Laithwaites orders the points from Southwest and assigns the points to your account. --TheMiddleSeat +1 I too would want that in writing, even if it's in the form of a Twitter conversation. Contact options, to include the Twitter handle, are listed on the "Contact Us" links.

@myzapp wrote: Looks like we will be 917 points short. A reminder that Southwest flights earn 6 points for each $1 of base fare if you buy a WGA fare and don't have status (source: https://www.southwest.com/rapidrewards/how-to-earn#base). So by my math if you take a flight this year with a base fare of at least $153 (total cost will be higher) you'll lock it in based on what you've described. I personally value a Companion Pass at a value great than $200 so it's an expense I'd be willing to pay.

@DancingDavidE wrote: Time permitting you're will have a chance to re-arrange or take some items into your carry on and re-weigh. I did this once for one time at PHX at 50.5 and one at 48.5 - spread it all out on the sidewalk and got two at 49.5 lbs FTW. we had a similar experience in Barcelona this summer. We always travel with a luggage scale to prevent this but the battery in the scale died while we were there! We guessed to the best of our ability in our hotel then found a new, inexpensive scale to buy in one of the aiport stores before security. Our guesses were wrong, we were too heavy in some bags and too light in others. We shuffled items between bags and weighed until we go the mix correct. No excess baggage fees. Now we travel with the luggage scale AND extra batteries.

Great idea to have your son bring his own carry on, we've always had our kids bring one and we still let them pick out their own snacks and special treats -- they're not so little any more! @juandey1988 it's going to depend on your desitination, there is currently a "baggage embargo" for San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) flights (and three additional airports), the Southwest page indicates that cardboard boxes are NOT allowed. @gbfinancial I'm curious if the routing changed since you booked? Sometimes the schedule changes but you should have received a notifiation from Southwest. @bec102896 and @dfwskier both give good advice about how to proceed (most of us in the forums are customers too). --- For awareness for others, when you are on the flight booking page you can filter for nonstop flights by clicking the check box at the top of the page: --- A direct flight will show only one flight number but will show the city where the plane stops (but without the two planes icon): --- Connecting flights will two two flight numbers, the city where you change planes, and the two planes icon: ---
