Traveling today. What fun! Oddly, while Judge Whatever Her Name Is has determined all of Harris County Texas should live in a bubble, indefinitely, and it is a crime with a $1000 fine for a business to allow an employee, or a member of the public at large, to be within the building premises without a mask (exceptions being restaurants), Houston Hobby is only requiring masks during the boarding process. Thank god for common sense!

@ ffflyer I could not agree more! I have delayed all absolutely unnecessary travel for now. Not because of any fear, but because of all the inconvenience and BS. Funny, in the weeks following the whole country shut down, and it wasn't until it started opening back up, I was flying (HOU/DTW, DTW/BOS, & BOS/HOU, numerous segments), and none of us were wearing masks, not the few passengers OR the crew. All about making the sheep and cattle feel all fuzzy and warm, just like the whole TSA thing! I have issues with wearing a mask but I am tolerating it for the moment, and I have my own personal feelings about the whole Covid 19 BS, but I don't want to get that battle raging here. Unfortunately, most of my trips to drive would require days v. hours to fly. Shorter ones, around Texas or to New Orleans, I too am driving. Safe travels, my friend.

I am a huge SW fan but have started to encounter this problem more and more. Our last flight my husband and I got B27 and in the past have never had a problem finding two seats together. This flight we boarded the plane and went to the very last row before we could find two seats together. As we walked the length of the plane any two seats together were saved.....I saw people talking while waiting to board and heard them say "remember the plan...we will save the seat for you." So one person in the group paid for early boarding and the rest didn't. In fact two rows ahead of us a lady was saving two seats. Her husband and two kids boarded and she got up and gave up all three seats. She was an employee and she spent the airtime back with the flight attendants. I said something to flight attendant about saving seats and she said they couldn't do anything as there wasn't a policy for it. I wrote to SW and made a complaint and got a standard we are looking into this but at this time we want people to sit together. My point is if they want to sit together then they should board together and all get the early boarding or not. SW needs to take a stand so they don't alienate their loyal customers.

Perhaps it's dependant upon the phone rep, but I've had round trips split into separate itineraries more than once. It never seemed to be that big of a deal. With regards to A-List status, previously it did only apply to new bookings, made after status was obtained. You needed to call to have the status added to your existing reservations. I've been told that is no longer the case, that the system apparently does some sort of sweep periodically to update status, but I have no experience to verify that. I'd still recommend calling once you obtain A-List if you have outstanding bookings.

@roberttrucker wrote: Hello All I've been searching for information today on how to identify what equipment Southwest has scheduled for my flight and have had no luck. The Boeing 737 8 Max reporting is disturbing but not overly so, but I want to know and believe I have a right to this information. Southwest, will you allow passengers to access this information? I really love flying Southwest and I don't say that lightly, but other airlines make it fairly simple to access this information. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious but I would sure appreciate some help! Thank you. Bob T. Bob, have you searched the threads for an answer? I ask because this question has been answered at least 10 times in the last two days, but here it is again.. Start the process of booking a flight. Enter date and departure and arrival cities. Click enter. A list of available flights will appear. The left side of the page will list flight numbers. By clicking on a flight number you will learn the type of plane and on time stats for that flight.
