I assume you are asking about non-stop flights, not direct which in Southwest speak is a flight that stops, but doesn't change planes. These days Southwest is routing most of their international flights through a handful of airports and having people connect through those few places. Based on this trend I wouldn't expect a non-stop OAK-PVR to return, but you never know. Submit your feedback directly to Southwest so they know the demand is there. Use the contact us link below and send a message.

@thecrew74 You've unfortunately missed the opportunity to get a refund via Rapid Rewards points by way of a travel fund to points conversion, perhaps all is not lost. That probably would have worked well for you. You did not say when your flight is scheduled to depart, but if Southwest has or does change your schedule you can probably cancel and get a cash refund. If the current schedule for your flight is different than when you originally booked it, contact Southwest and inform them that the new schedule does not work for you and request a cash refund. If no change has yet occurred, wait until the day before your flight before canceling, a change could still occur enabling you to get a refund. You can find your current schedule in My Account on southwest.com or on the Southwest app while logged in as the ticketed passenger. There's no benefit to canceling now versus the day before the departure if a schedule change has not occurred so wait it out. --TheMiddleSeat
