HI -- this is an odd one -- I am not yet an employee of SW and I will be traveling on flights booked by E-Pass -- will I be able to use my C-pass for my dependent family member assuming there is an open seat. Currently -- I have booked her using points but would much rather use my c-pass, as she is currently list as my companion. thank you in advance for your thoughts....

@flyladybug101 I did ask Lauren about the timeline for face to face - currently still several months out. She did mention that there is at this point a single senior SWA person who is specific to the FA position hiring. I encourage you to stay with the FA plan and keep communicating on the community. (we are the first class of FA applicants to have this resource -- I am grateful)

@Jlcox Glad you applied. I just completed the phone interview -- yes they are working hard to get all the application reviewed. Face to face is the next step which could be several months out and then training maybe a several weeks after that....to my knowledge a hire date has not been posted. Keep checking in on the community!

@flyladybug101 Hooray for you! I have the phone interview today with Lauren - perhaps the opportunity to ask will come up -- if so I will post. I am not sure what the target number for 2f2 of the 28k applicants -- so I am with you it could be months or up to a year ... Is there a timeline for the training of FA Class 2018/19. ... ? I know the journey is long -- we are up to the challenge.

@LoveSpring Hi glad you are excited about the amazing opportunity to join the SW family! I can specifically answer to the FA application ... which was e-mailed to me the day the portal status was changed to under review and the rep from the SW people department gave me a call. Hint: you may consider listing more than the five years of work experience ask for on the application... I did NOT...thinking the text file on the portal would be review for consideration to the next step. SO the application is very important. -- I am hopeful I will be able to cover more of my 'life' experience during the phone interview or perhaps portal text will be reviewed before the face to face in TX.. Good Luck!

@user1bgiles1936 Hi thank you for the question -- I am not a SWA employee or expert but from my experience with looking at the positions posted -- age is not a factor... I encourage you to follow your gifts and talents. SWA appears to be a very equal opportunity employer ' family' come all and many ready to serve, have fun and be Luv'in....

@cschuller Hi -- I am not an expert.. however I always book one way tickets... more flexibility -- downside more confirms to manange -- the trade off has been worth it for me ... As for your first issue - I would book all tickets with $$ or Points to "hold" the seat on the flight -- however this does not gauantee that seat can be switched to the 'pass' seat if the flight load is tight...this can be tricky and may not workout but IT has a chance ( I have done it) The C-passes are such a great perk -- I have been able to bless so many travelers who could not have gone and this way they do not feel it is a hand -out. Great travels ....you are on the right path....

@lenalee72 Glad you sent the e-mail...since it is the weekend while waiting for a response.... Consider a another look... you are viewing portal profile specific to FA position ?--- see @KelbyTansey. Earlier reponse to another FA applicant and community member who was not able to view their status -- use the LINK included in the post. I have also used the LINK in the e-mail when my application was confirmed 2/5. (FA portal page is different than the of other positions I have applied for with SWA) The FA portal profile log in page has two male and one female SWA FAs smiling with laughter... I hope you navigate there, go thru security and confirm your application status! All the best and Hope to meet you in person in FA Class 2018 -- All in FUN and LUV....

@KelbyTansey@KeithPitman Keith -- thank you for your continued posts on the community.. I recall you being very helpful 2/5! (I too have not been contacted...I plan to post something FUN and encouraging when it happens -- I think this is the first FA class with the bonus of having the community communication - we are going to know one another before we get to LUV Field) Kelby -- I am grateful for your response --it is a solution to my post RE: email challenges with service providers i.e. @comcast.net I did update my profile and added a gmail address under Major (other) section. Might it help applicants and the peoples department if ICIMS had a spot to list alternate e-mail like phone numbers?.... just a thought. Have a LUV-ly day.
