Since it is not a new card for you, when did the points post foryou in past years?

Courtesy Boeing inc., Southwest is short of planes. Tht forces the airline to pare some routes.
BTW, SW did not leeave NYC, it just left Newark. The chances of the airline just leaving a major city, like Seatlle, are pretty small.

But is it fair to deny me the ability to check-in online and print boarding passes? Especially with Southwest because we won't get a favorable boarding position.
You probably shouold let th firm that booked tge flight know how you feel - and remember how they treated you the next time you have a trip.

An FA with a hearing aid would be ok, but one totally deaf would not.
Think about it, during an emergency the FA's would need to be able to react to both pilot and passenger voices.

Ticket was booked with RR account that has the correct name. There is NO REASON it should not be able to match funds to the account. It should be looking up by RR account if the website can't figure out how to compare a space. So frustrated that I had to log out and use the WRONG first name in order to apply funds which were originally booked with the correct name.
no, the ticket was booked with whatever name YOU typed in. There is no system bug, but there is a bug in your typing ability.

charging people extra for position is fraud if you do not provide information about what they are buying.
Southwest does disclose what you are buying
1) a better boarding position than everyone that checks in manually
2) the convenience of not worrying about not manually checking in
that's it
If you don't like the product, then don't buy it.

Now I understand. You mean points to qualify for the bonus.
You get one chance and only one chance to earn the points needed to get your bonus.
If you miss that one vhance, you do not get a second chance.

What points do you think would "reset?"
You'd earn 2 RR points for money spent at Southwest and 1 RR point for money spent elsewhere.

SInce Southwest does not charge more for 2 one way fares when compared to a roundtrip, there is nothing preventing you from booking the October trip now as a one eway, and the November trip later - also as a one eay.

The only thing you can buy with points at Southwest Airlines iis plane tickets.
A different organization, More Rewards, allows people to buy things other than plane tickets on SW. You need to compalin to the right company..

click on "helpcenter" click on "day of travel" cliuck on "I want to fly standby or make a same day change"
and then a "chat" bubble will appear - allowing you to chat
I have to admit this is not a positive change.

So I guess the assessment was made that your size was enough of a disability that it would have prevented you from being able to assist other passengers evacuate the plane in the event of an emergency.
