Every position has a different timeline based on the volume of candidates. Typically, once the application window closes, it could take a couple of months for our team to review resumes, conduct phone screens, conduct 1X1 interviews, and select candidates. The process of checking former work history takes place further along in the process, and you would be informed if this is the reason that you were not being considered for the opportunity. I would recommend applying for jobs you're interested in as quickly as you can when they open, as most of our roles close quickly and have many applicants -- which can sometimes result in your resume not being seen before we hire someone for the role. Hi @js227, Most of our roles start Day 1 in Dallas. However, a select few do start at the station and then come to Dallas for training. I would recommend reaching out to your Recruiter or Employment Coordinator for more information about your specific situation. Welcome to the Southwest Family!

Hi @nathanm04, While you are correct that you are responsible for the costs of the program as well as living expenses for the duration of the program, it is possible to get a housing loan and cost of living stipend as part of your financing. These are discussions you would need to have with CAE and Wells Fargo as you move through the process and would still be subject to approval for the loan.
