So you’re mad because you want to take an earlier flight you need 2 seats (1 for you and 1 for your wife) but there is only 1 available seat? The airline can’t just make a seat appear out of thin air or they would have done that a long time a go and sold out flights would be a thing of the past
if you wanted a certain flight so bad you could have booked it instead (as long as seats were available when you booked)

Is the reservation linked to your RR account? If so I’d just pay for the Wi-Fi then send SW a message asking for a refund of the Wi-Fi.

Gotta love technology
It looks as though Southwest had some technology issues today due to a server crashing due to a power outage, this has been causing some extra flight delays and App/website issues. Hopefully those issues should be fixed now so you might try again but I did see lots of reports of issues earlier today.

You can buy WGA+ and the funds become transferable so if you canceled you can transfer the funds to you as long as both you and the original passenger has a RR account

You could always just show them you have ALP or a BS ticket hopefully they didn’t refuse you the drink (or you might deserve a full refund and free flights for life JK😜)

I’m currently in Chicago there is weather here. Weather is not something the airline can control.
you should always fly in a day before an event doesn’t matter what airline you take delays happen. You should not expect to be at an event a few hours after you land, where any slight delay will mess up your whole day.
Since your flight is delayed, you are entitled to a refund. You just have to request it or move to a different flight Free of charge. But you don’t get to take the flight and get a refund.

I never get the rapid reward statement emails but I get every other type of email and unfortunately SW hasn’t figured out the issue
you can try having your wife unsubscribe from all emails then resubscribe and maybe that will fix the issue as sometimes you might accidentally hit the unsubscribe link on the email when scrolling

I’ve seen lots of fake accounts on Twitter (X) as well when I see them I report them for removal unfortunately there are lots of scam accounts on both Facebook and Twitter (X)
the best way to know if your really dealing with Southwest is look for the verified mark I’m and remember Southwest won’t add you as a friend to assist you on Facebook

So tonight I went to check in for my flight and I noticed this nice little option to view where your flight is coming from on the app.
now hopefully the next feature will be delay information similar to what United has ex. Your flight is late because your inbound plane had a maintenance problem that needed to be addressed

Southwest has 3 gates at OKC they can’t serve every city with the 3 gates so they go to places where they can connect more people LAX isn’t an ideal connection for a lot of cities other might go.

So on the app I decided to look in to the cash in points on a flight from AUS-DCA on July 5th
cash ticket is $125
points alone: 8,484
cash + points: 8,800 points and $55 off
so let me think about this spend more points and $70 vs less points and $5.60

So with same day change you can make the change starting at midnight so you could set an alarm and right at midnight make the change. As long as a seat exists you can get it regardless of if it’s anytime only available and as long as your destination doesn’t change and date you can pick any available flight connection city can change (I’ve changed to different connection cities just to grab lunch/dinner before)
Keep in mind should the day come and there are no later flights you will be stuck with the awful flight so be ready just in case
As mentioned you will lose your boarding position so I wouldn’t buy EB check in as it won’t apply to your new flight however you could still upgrade to the A1-15 if you want after making the same day change if it’s available
