I'm guessing those points post after the promotion ends. My guess is when they did the rebooking they upgraded the ticket to the anytime fare and boom more points. This has happened to me with reaccomadation before.

I actually just had a conversation about this with a rep last week I think they should at least allow you to see the infant fare online just like the old days when senior fares were a thing that way people can determine if it’s worth it to to them to buy after seeing the price then they could call and buy the infant fare instead of having to call just to find out the price.

Thanks for the update! I know several people who will like this news. I wonder if they will send coupons to those who completed 10+ flights during the pause of alcohol drink service or will it just restart where you left off before the pause or reset everyone to 0/10

This happened to me once when I was new to travel and this is how an agent on Twitter explained it to me If you were going to make brownies and you combined the ingredients and mixed them when you realized oops I put an extra egg you can't take the 1 extra egg out of the mixed brownies. So in this case once you combined the $10 with your $300 you aren't able to separate the 2 amounts once since they have already been combined and the rule is the reservation will take on the earliest expiration date of funds you apply to a reservation. -Blake

First off I would remove your confirmation number from your post since this is a public forum. So if I understand this correctly your travel funds expire in June 2021 and you want to travel in August 2021. With travel funds your travel would need to be booked and flown before the expiration date so even if you entered your confirmation number on the booking page it would either show up as $0 of travel funds applied or would give you an error saying the travel funds are expired. After the funds expire you can Contact Customer Relations and ask they they reissue the travel funds as a LUV voucher and this would be good for 6 months and will cost $100 per travel fund you can then use this to book your August flight. *this exception is on a case by case basis and the fee is subject to change. -Blake

My guess is because of all the weather here in Texas this caused your flight to be late and when flights are late due to weather usually a voucher is not issued since southwest has no control over the weather. Once travel is completed you can Contact Customer Relations so they can review and see if any vouchers can be issued.

While we await on the BNA expert here is some information from my layovers in BNA So in BNA flights depart from the C and D terminal if you are the unlucky one who gets gate C25 to gate D6 it might take you 7-10min to walk to the connecting flight. I would check you gate assignment when you are on the first flight while taxiing after landing that way you can know where your going instead of looking for the flight board in the airport. I’ve taken a bunch of 35min layovers they aren’t my favorite but they are doable and every time my bag has made it on those short layovers. your 2nd flight may already have begun the boarding process by the time you get to the next gate. if your boarding group has already been called you can walk up to the agent and board as soon as you arrive. if your 1st flight is delayed you might talk to a customer service agent at the airport to see if the flight will be held for you or find out if you should you move to another flight. you should be good to go just sit towards the front on your 1st flight and be ready to move once that seat belt sign is turned off and the door is opened. -Blake

I had a similar experience back in March in DEN they still had a A List line you just had to find the end of that line which was just as long as the regular line going out the door. I hadn’t seen a line like that in years I was surprised but luckily I was there early so i didn’t have any issues. I am curious as to how they added the 2nd seat when the flight was overbooked though. I guess lucky for you I’ve heard that others who asked about the extra seat were the ones who were bumped when the flight was full or overbooked.

@bjbelger wrote: Booked original flights months ago. All changes Southwest’s. Today’s flights have been a horror due to Dallas weather and SW taking away two non-stops, so flights full and now sitting with B passes for end leg. Not happy. Southwest has no control over the weather so unfortunately when weather hits the airport this causes flight delays and cancellations. At least with a B boarding position you still have a chance of getting an aisle or window. As others stated if you are A List you can board after the A group and before the B group.

You should be able to have the bags checked all the way however to do this you will need to go to the full service ticket counter so allow time for this and not all agents know how to do this so they might need to get help so be patient and have your other confirmation number handy.

So since these tickets were booked at different times they would have different confirmation numbers and unfortunately you can't combine confirmation numbers to put everyone on the same confirmation number unless you cancel everyone and rebook and that's a lot of work. One thing you can do is on the app click the look up reservation option and type in the confirmation number of the person who is separated and it should stay there in your recent searches unless you log out of the app. Keep in mind since you all are booked on multiple confirmation numbers you will need to check in both confirmation numbers at the 24 hour mark to get the best boarding position. -Blake

Southwest and most other airlines don't accept ESAs anymore only service dogs and pet in cabin which is a small dog/cat that fits in the carrier under the seat in front of you. If this is a service dog you can reach out to Southwest on Facebook or Twitter and they can add the service dog to your reservation.

I think more people are starting to travel now since restrictions are being lifted and people are ready to go on vacation. I also think prices are higher as airlines are trying to make a little money back after months of no revenue.

@PrincessLeah wrote: If I purchase business select tickets using only points and the fares/points decrease, can I be “refunded” the difference in points or is it only for non point purchases? And if so, am I understanding correctly that I should cancel and rebook in order to keep my tickets refundable? thanks Yes you can get the difference in points refunded to the account you used to book the flight. All you have to do is click change reservation then select the cheaper flight then proceed with the change and the points will be available to use instantly. **With points bookings those are refundable so even if you book a Wanna Get Away fare for a domestic flight and later on you need to cancel the $5.60/$11.20 security fee can be refunded and the points will go back to the account. So if you don't care that much about being A1-A15 you can book the wanna get away and save a bunch of points. -Blake

When Southwest makes a change to your reservation you can make 1 free change to your reservation (no fare difference will be required) if none of the flights will work with your schedule you can reach out to Southwest and request a full refund to the original form of payment. If a flight that works with your schedule is available you can usually make this change on the app or website and it will waive the fare difference. If it gives you an error I would reach out to southwest on Facebook or Twitter for the quickest and easiest response. -Blake

@TheMiddleSeat The reason I think they might have booked the hotel first is they said 13 months a go SW doesn't open the schedule that far in advance but i agree that they should be able to just change the flight and not deal with the hotel it would just take checking the app/website to see if seats opened up.

So you booked your hotel before you could book your flight? Most hotels allow changes maybe you can call your hotel to see about adding a night. You Next best option is keep checking the website in case seats open up since inventory changes all the time.
