If you booked on SW only to Oakland then your bags will only go to Oakland. Keep in mind southwest does fly to Hawaii now so if you booked a flight to Hawaii on SW your whole reservation will be on SW. If you booked Hawaiian separately then you will need to leave security and claim your bags at the SW baggage claim then go to the Hawaiian counter to check your bags with them. Southwest doesn't code share with other airlines which is why you would need to claim and recheck your bag with the 2nd airline. How long should you allow? Well I would allow 4 hours minimum because if your flight on SW is late Hawaiian won't wait because they have no idea that your flying in on SW first. The process 1. Check bag with SW (or carry on if you can) 2. Claim bag in OAK 3. Go to Hawaiian ticket counter to check your bag and get your hawaiian boarding pass 4. Go back though security. If you bought drinks prior to arriving in Oakland to take to Hawaii you will have to dispose of those since you would be going back though security so wait to buy drinks until after you go through security in Oakland. Travel funds would need to be booked and traveled by the expiration date. If your not able to use the funds by the expiration date you can Contact Customer Relations and request an extension and on a case by case basis they will issue a voucher however this comes with a $100 fee per travel fund and the voucher would be valid for 6 months from the date of issue. If you have multiple travel funds i would combine them by booking a flight and then cancel it *if you have more than one travel fund (multiple confirmation numbers with your name on them) and need help let me know and i can walk you though how to do this. -Blake

Yes you can buy the 2nd seat after you bought your original flight however I think you need to do this buy phone that way they can link the 2 reservations together as a COS. Also by calling they can match the price you paid for the 1st seat *you may need to remind the representative of that though when calling or they may try to charge you the current price which could be much higher. -Blake

One thing to keep in mind your travel funds expire 1 year from when you bought your ticket and if you cancelled outside of the exception timeframe your funds could be expired and that might be why you can't find the funds. If you cancelled before March of 2020 or after September 7th 2020 your funds expire 1 year from when you bought your ticket. If you cancelled during this time period your funds should be valid till September 7th 2022.

If your flight is cancelled due to weather hotels are not usually provided. On occasion they will give a discounted hotel voucher but usually the only time a hotel is given as compensation is when a maintenance cancellation happens and the airline can't get you out till the next day. One thing I noticed with this promotion is you can only use your email address once so if a spouse entered using your email then you would need to use a different email. Also if you entered your email address wrong on accident the first time you would need to enter it wrong every time because the game will think your account number is registered to that wrong email and it will say your email address is wrong if you correct it the next time. Also you could use the copy and paste to make sure you are entering the number correctly. Sorry to hear your flights were delayed recently. Weather has been an issue in Texas which is where a lot of Southwest operations are and one delay will lead to another so yes a flight can be delayed 9 hours before your scheduled departure depending on where your flight started in the AM. Back in October 2019 (I believe) Southwest changed the policy where points won't expire anymore prior to that points didn't expire as long as you had earning activity once every 24 months so my guess is your points expired right before the policy change. So with your example of a flight at 1:25pm and you arriving at 1:15pm the gate closes 10min before departure so my guess is as soon as it hit 1:15pm they marked you a no show and they were probably closing the door once they get the paperwork to finish printing. Forced missed flight? No I don't think so because you should show up to the gate more than 10min before your flight unless you were late on your first flight then you have no choice. If you had a true emergency (flat tire or major traffic as a couple examples) you can show up and be covered by the flat tire rule which is what it looks like you were covered by.

On the booking page on the full website you can enter his email address or just yours. However if you enter 2 email addresses one will be for the confirmation email the other email will be a share itinerary with (you can share the itinerary with up to 4 email addresses when booking on the website) if you enter just your email you will be the only one to get a confirmation.

So at 24 hours before your first flight you should check in and you will get 2 boarding passes 1 for the flight from LAX-STL you will also have a boarding pass for the STL-MCO flight which you can print both passes starting at the 24 hour mark you can also use the Southwest mobile app to check in and you can use the mobile boarding pass if you want. You don't need to check in twice for the flight unless the LAX-STL and STL-MCO are on different confirmation numbers. -Blake

So first you would put your phone in airplane mode. Once in airplane mode turn on your Wi-Fi and select the Southwest WiFi. You should be redirected to the Southwest entertainment portal or it might redirect you to a place to copy a link which you can paste in to a web browser. ***If you want to watch free movies on the plane you will need to have the Southwest mobile app on your phone (be sure you download before you fly)*** If you want to connect to the internet you can do that from the entertainment portal for $8 for an all day pass (yep $8 gets you all flights including connections for that day) You can learn more Here and Here *southwest planes don't have charging plugs so I would bring a power bank or 2 as your phone can die quickly using the movies or WiFi. -Blake

I think its a case of can take up to 20 days but could take 2-5 days. A normal LUV voucher for say a flight delay is usually emailed in 1-3 days. This extension voucher could take longer.
