It's been a known issue that those outside the United States are unable to access the Southwest website. the best thing you can do would be to call Southwest by phone and you can find the contact numbers Here Hope this helps Blake

@TravelGal I'm sorry your disappointed with Southwest groups department! i have used Southwest groups several times without any issues. it has been a stated policy for some time now that you can't add EB to a group reservation. While sure if I were in charge I would allow it because yes it's more money but I believe the reason it's not allowed has to do with the way the reservation is done maybe because it is a discounted rate off of wanna get away price online or some other reason I'm not sure of. You can find out more about the group travel policies Here My suggestion for people is if they are wanting to add EB to someone book them separate from the group of course you would still need to have at least 10 people on the group reservation to qualify for group travel. Another suggestion Is on day of departure ask the gate agent if you can do upgraded boarding which costs $30-$50 a person and gets you in the A1-15 group I don't see a policy stating you can't do that so it's worth a shot of course that is based on availability on day of departure. Hope this helps Blake

If you plan to buy EB I recommend buying it when you purchase your flight because your checked in based on the time stamp of your EB purchase. The other thing to note is it all depends on how many A List/A List preferred people are on a given flight because they are checked in before EB so on popular flights like going to Disney during the holidays you may end up in the low B group compared to if you go Mid September when kids are back in school where you would be more likely to get an A boarding pass. A lot of people will buy EB for 1 person and that person could save seats once on board since there isn't a saving seats policy yet so maybe you could do that. I personally do believe EB is worth the money because you will still have a better spot than someone who didn't buy EB another idea is you could wait and buy upgraded boarding at the gate (if available on day of travel) which is $30-$50 but it gets you A1-15 boarding note that price is per flight while EB is for your whole one way (includes connections) hope this helps! @DPontheGo wrote: @bec102896 One hitch to your solution would be that if you don't put your RR account in when you purchase the ticket and you are currently A List then you don't earn the 25% more points on that flight purchase. So that also becomes an issue. I really wish they would just allow you to purchase EB regardless of your status. If you know you won't need it, I don't think it is something that you would purchase by accident. I believe regardless on when you add your number (during booking, after booking- more than 36 hours before the flight, or after travel is complete) you would still get your bonus points for being A List. now sure you won't get your A List boarding (in the A group) if you dont add the number more than 36 hours before the flight if you add it at the airport you could get the between A and B group boarding. I had a time where my number fell off my reservation and I caught it so I called and readded it back and got all my benefits when it came flight time (A boarding and the bonus points)

@DfDrPepper_23 How so? they send out emails before points expire and they have fine print that says something like "points don't expire as long as your have qualifying account activity every 2 years" which is on every ad that I see advertisements for points don't not expire usually at the bottom other airlines points/Miles expire in less time like 6 months as stated above for example frontier and Spirit airlines. But @sateller69 I'm sorry your points did expire I know it is frustrating and hopefully you will give Southwest a chance in the future. -Blake

I know what you mean I'm all about getting my credits (airline and hotel too) hope it works for you And I would hate to be in the B or C group before I was A List I bought EB all the time luckily it was only $10 back then.

One way you could add EB is to remove your rapid rewards number from the reservation (which you could do by calling reservations) then add EB to the flight then add your number back to your reservation. If you haven't tried already you could call reservations to see if they can add EB for those flights without needing to remove your number as there was a time back a few years a go they added EB to my a list reservation on accident I was a little like how did you pull that off no one could fugue it out though so they may be able to. Hope this helps Blake

2 years a go I noticed my last flight of the year to reach A List was a RT reservation so I was curious if I needed to book individual reservations and asked Southwest on Facebook and the agent told me each flight would count in the correct year once it posts to my account. He told me the main thing is I would not get the A List status until the flight posts which would be after all travel is complete so he told me if I wanted my A List status for the flight in January I should book each flight separately if that makes sense as the account would not show A List yet. After travel was complete i checked and the December flight posted for the 2016 status and the January flight posted for the new year status. I did have to call to get the 25% bonus for the January flight but they were able to verify I am A List and got that fixed with no problem. Here was the little conversation with Southwest on Facebook from back in the day (2016) Hi I was curious if I book a RT flight departing in 2016 with a return in 2017 will both flights count in 2017 or will the 1 flight go back to 2016 qualifying period? Great question, Blake! Once you complete travel each flight will count within their corresponding year. For example, your outbound flight will be counted for 2016, and your return will be counted for 2017. -Grayson hope this helps Blake

@jr_colon Are you trying to book using points from multiple accounts like child's account for child's ticket your account for your ticket and so on? If so you would need to book individually or you could transfer the points if you want everyone on 1 confirmation number but that would be costly ($10 per 1,000 to transfer) so you would be better off buying each ticket individually. If you book each each person separately you would have to check in each reservation one by one.

@gadgetguy007 I do agree a feature like this would be useful like in my case when i travel with my family I agree it would be easier to click a name so you save the time entering all the info over and over and would speed up the booking process. the best advice I can give would be to send your feedback from the contact us link provided above so southwest can hear that you would like this feature and maybe it will become a thing in the future once they hear it from a lot of customers like you and I as I know they listen to there customers more than you may think they would. If you bought the anytime or business select fare you can request a refund to the credit card and rebook at the current price for the new person that is going to travel but if you bought the wanna get away fare then as @dfwskier said the ticket is non refundable and name changes are not permitted but if you cancel the flight that passenger will have a credit for a future flight within a year from the original ticket purchase. @darshakthakore I'm sorry for the troubles you are having getting a gift card by email and sorry the reps on the phone weren't helpful. About the incorrect number for customer relations sounds like they might have given you the old 214 number the new phone number (that has been around a few years now) is 855-234-4654 so I would recommend calling them Monday if you don't get your gift card over the weekend. I have ordered a few Southwest gift cards online and never had any issues so I wonder if there is a problem with the email server blocking the gift card from reaching your inbox. If you don't get it over the weekend I would recommend asking them to send it to a different email address to see if you get it that way. hope your gift card arrives soon! Blake

@Goldfinger To find the best prices on Southwest Airlines flights I would recommend checking out the low fare calendar Here it's a great tool for those on a budget trying to find the cheapest dates to travel. southwest is great with passengers with disabilities they actually care about the customers. Southwest however only sells there flights on Southwest.com and the Southwest app as well as by phone at 800-435-9792 no third party bookings though at this time. hope all goes well! Blake

Do you pay for pre check? If so make sure the number is entered correctly and also make sure it isn't expired as it's only good for 5 years before you need to renew. I would recommend calling reservations and maybe they can make sure your number is on the reservation and make sure it is correct. If you don't don't pay for pre check it isn't guaranteed and I know TSA is slowly stooping the random pre check assignment to people who don't pay for it. -Blake

If you saved your KTN number to your profile it should automatically populate to all reservations when you are logged in. I have noticed on the occasions I have booked over the phone it hasn't populated my middle name so my Pre check didn't show up on my boarding pass even though my middle name is saved on my profile so be sure to just double check if you book on the phone that your name matches exactly how it is on your KTN number. Hope this helps Blake

@nehi It does automatically check you in but you still have to click check in to view your boarding pass group and number but you can do it at your convenience since your boarding pass number is already assigned you just wont be able to view it until you click check in as I think they want you to see the hazardous materials message to make sure you don't bring them and that way they can see are you actually coming as some book and forget to cancel. @dave8675309 So I was actually on this flight a few weeks a go and yes I agree that delay was annoying but they happen I do however have some info I got from talking to the gate agent while waiting for the plane that day. the reason we couldn't move to another gate is that in Austin Southwest has 6 gates so the gate you and I saw open didn't belong to Southwest so they could not use that gate. I know there is an expansion going on at the airport including another airline moving to the new south terminal this week and I am guessing that will help with gate availability in the future as I am guessing Southwest might have access to a shared gate for situations like this. Another note is there were numerous delays at that time with other flights so that's why those gates weren't available. While i I was waiting for our flight to arrive at the gate I did see EMS arrive at the gate which was because of a medical situation and that's probably why that plane took over our gate and our flight was delayed. also that's probably the reason it took so long for that flight to deplane. I know our flight was on the ground about 35min before if could pull in to our gate and he it did delay us a bit but luckily they were able to make up some time in flight. if you would like to discuss your experience with Southwest directly I would check out the contact options which were posted above by @dfwskier hopefully next time you fly out of Austin there won't be a delay because of gate availability Blake

@bthek you get 1 credit per one way flight so in your case you would get 2 credits a one way flight is where you fly from your departure airport to your final destination on that confirmation number so for example if you are going from AUS to HOU (as a connection) to MCO with MCO being your final destination even though you take 2 flights you get 1 credit since that's a one way reservation. If you booked AUS to HOU on one reservation and HOU to MCO on another you would get 2 flight credits so for a RT reservation you get 2 flight credits regardless of the number of stops or layovers hope this helps! @melgallion Sorry your flight was canceled. It sounds like there was an aircraft swap which caused your flight to be canceled since it was going to Houston then instead went to Pittsburgh. Swaps happen for many reasons from staffing to weather or other planes breaking down just to name a few. I believe the airline schedules people on the next available flight as soon as they cancel the original flight that way there isn't a 100 plus person line waiting to rebook one by one. You can always talk to an agent at the airport or by phone to see what other options are available as they usually allow you to make 1 change for free. You could also try to go standby on the other flight if it leaves before your new flight in case someone no shows and a seat becomes available. Hope the rest of your flights go smoothly! Blake

@cj_a I'm sorry your flights were delayed and canceled which caused you some extra money and caused you to miss work. although I don't know why your flight ended up being canceled if it was a weather delay then the airline would not provide a hotel if it was a maintenance issue then yes they should have provided a hotel unless the partner hotels were already sold out for the night. Since this is a customer to customer forum I would recommend you call customer relations at 855-234-4654 to speak with someone who can help look in to your recent experience.
