if you didn't show up and fly you would lose the value of the ticket on the no show policy and get no A List flight credit. I would recommend finding a cheap RT in a day or weekend getaway so you can reach the status. Nothing worse than being 1 flight short. hope this helps Blake

So today I called to pay the deposit on an upcoming group reservation and the agent asked if i wanted to reprice the flight in case the price went down I said sure why not. next thing I hear is I have great news the price has gone down $1700 total for your whole group I was like WOW!! Thanks for the amazing reprice policy instead of here's your quote it's set in stone and thanks for saving our group $1700. Anyone else have a great savings from a flight going down in price? This is why I LUV Southwest! Blake

@rpoplin Congratulations on earning the Companion pass! Just wanted to add you could use the the travel funds to pay for her security fee $5.60 each way for domestic travel or as @elijahbrantley said she could use the funds if she traveled on her own but only the ticketed passenger can use the travel funds and they are valid for a year from when you booked that original reservation. Hope this helps! Blake

@mesummerlin Sorry your boarding pass doesn't have TSA PRE on it i would double check to make sure your name on your reservation matches exactly as it does on your global entry if it doesn't match you most likely won't get pre check. Also I would double check to make sure you entered the number correctly and in the correct place as KTN spot is next to the redress number spot and I know some enter them in the wrong place if they are distracted when booking or if you booked on the phone they could have made a mistake as well. Hope this helps! Blake

@Leonardo83 I'm sorry your new flight was delayed as well. A day delay is never fun but looks like that new flight made it to FLL a few hours a go so glad you did finally make it safely. as stated in my original message I would recommend reaching out to Southwest customer relations to discuss your experience. hope your future flights are smoother than this one! @pwullen Although I don't know how often the position opens up I do know you can create a profile on the Southwest Careers website and sign up for alerts so you can be notified when the job you want becomes available for applications. southwest won't accept applications until the job is posted to be fair to all. If you don't want to sign up for alerts I recommend checking the careers site often since new jobs are posted often and you don't want to miss that job opening. hope this helps Blake

@Leonardo83 so did some searching and unfortunately it looks like the flight was canceled according to the Southwest website. i know canceled flights are no fun but hopefully they will be able to get you on a flight as soon as possible. My guess with such a long delay before the cancellation was a mechanical problem and personally I would rather have a delay then have a bigger problem in flight. If you would like to discuss this experience with Southwest you can contact customer relations by calling 855-234-4654 or reach out in a DM on Facebook or Twitter and they can assist you. If calling I would wait until all travel is complete so they can see when you do finally arrive and figure out what happened. sorry again for the delay hopefully you will be on your way soon. Blake

@Buzzie The few times I have used Rapid Rewards shopping it had taken about 3-4 weeks for the points to post to my RR account. note if you return the item you buy they can take the points back making your account expire. here is the official answer from the rapid rewards shopping sits: After I make a purchase from a Rapid Rewards Shopping retailer, when will the Rapid Rewards points be credited to my account? Rapid Rewards points will typically be posted to your account within six to eight weeks from purchase date. Some exceptions do apply. See participating retailer offer information on the Rapid Rewards Shopping web site for complete information.

@pdonald26 yes Young Travelers (13-17) traveling alone can have a flight with a connection as I did them many times when I was under 18. The only people who can't fly with a connection is an unaccompanied minor (12 years old and younger) hope this helps Blake

@bigjuke93 As others have said I have not seen any major changes in boarding positions. as an A List preferred customer myself I have still been in the A16-25 range so maybe you just keep getting flights with lots of A Listers. as @chgoflyer stated as we get closer to the end of the year there are more A Listers flying especially those doing last minute segments to re earn status or earn for the first time plus you add those who earned status on A List trials making more A Listers i know usually your position is assigned based on when you booked compared to other A List preferred customers so if 10 other A List preferred customers booked before you they would theoretically have a better position before you and you should have a better position than A Listers (non preferred) about the notifications maybe log out and log back in or delete and re install the app to see if re-enabling notifications helps Hope this helps Blake

That's awesome sounds like you had a similar birthday dream as I did! when I turned 18 back in October of 2014 all I wanted to do was fly as many legs as I could in 1 day and eat some food Texas food so I did a route from MCO MSY DAL AUS HOU MCO it was awesome since I LUV to fly of course I had to get me some Amy's ice cream in Austin whataburger in Dallas and Pappadeaux in Houston it was a great birthday! Last October for my early 21st birthday adventure I went from AUS HOU SAT DAL HOU to be apart of the Max8 inaugural flights even though it had a hick up it was still fun to fly the Texas triangle for the first time (starting from Houston though) Blake

@burrogl I'm sorry the Wifi is down on your flight I know it's annoying but it happens all the FA can do is request the pilot to reset it but sometimes it takes more than just a reset but they won't delay a flight over fixing the Wifi. You can reach out to Southwest on Twitter or you can call customer relations at 855-234-4654 if you would like to speak to someone directly. Hopefully the Wifi will work on your future flights without incident! Blake

@chgoflyer wrote: When your flight was cancelled by Southwest, you should have received a refund of the airfare back to the original form of payment, or (in some cases) Travel Funds for that amount, good towards future travel for one year from the original date of ticket purchase. Did you receive that? If travel ended up being completed on another southwest flight later that day or next day I don't believe you would get a refund to travel funds or your original form of payment just possible compensation (LUV voucher) and they usually won't issue a LUV voucher if travel was not taken at some point since that would be like paying a person to not fly

I think the "may" means if you changed your flight to be before the qualifying date or after for example if travel must be completed between October 1st and 31st and you changed your October 30th flight to depart on say November 2nd you would then be out of the promotional dates and that flight would not count which could make you not get the A List through 2019 if you would not have completed the required flights before that flight hope that helps Blake

Southwest considers children ages 12 through 17 traveling alone to be Young Travelers, not Unaccompanied Minors. Accordingly, Southwest’s Unaccompanied Minor procedures do not apply to ages 12 through 17. From the website: Can a child older than 11 years of age be treated as an Unaccompanied Minor? No. Our Unaccompanied Minor program is only for children ages five through 11 years old. Children ages 12 and older are allowed to travel independently. However, we encourage parents to decide whether their children are capable of and comfortable with: Negotiating all airports Going through the checkin and boarding processes Following crew members' instructions Dealing with possible flight disruptions that may arise If not, we strongly discourage allowing these Young Travelers to fly alone. Oh I didn't know that that's weird they offered me the service when I booked the cousins tickets by phone maybe the reservations agent didn't know the policy (like myself 😂). I figure they would want to sell it to Young travelers (as an optional fee) to make more money

@neilfeldman I'm sorry your flight was late because of a bird strike. I agree I would rather the boarding be stopped rather than everyone board and then deplane as it's a pain. feel free to send Southwest a DM on twitter or Facebook so they can pass on your thanks to the pilot and ops agent (they might be able to issue you a voucher for the long delay as well) Hope your next flight is delay free! @amypit40 I'm sorry your having trouble booking your flight with your travel funds I would recommend calling reservations with that confirmation number to see if they can help book your flight and see what might have happened if it is more complicated they may direct you to reach out to customer relations which you could do by calling 855-234-4654 or you could message Southwest on Facebook or Twitter and they might be able to help figure out the problem through there as well. I personally have not heard of saving the reservation in the system I have heard of no show where the ticket wasn't canceled and left without you where you lose all funds or just canceled where the funds remain for a year from original purchase date hope your able to get your flight booked with the travel funds! @hindmanm That's strange that you wouldn't have a security code with a LUV voucher as I've never seen a LUV voucher without a security code. I would recommend reaching out to Southwest in a DM on Twitter/Facebook or you can reach out to customer relations by calling 855-234-4654 Monday-Friday. I would also double check to make sure it's a LUV voucher as some people mistake a travel fund for a voucher and some mistake an Epass for a LUV voucher. the security code should be right under the voucher number. hope this helps! @Jazzytrakstar First off thank you for your service! I'm very sorry to hear about your experience on your most recent flight. Not to take sides but I do know the policy is that pets that are not service animals should remain under the seat in front of them at all times I understand the attitude may not have been the nicest but that is the policy for pets and surely the Flight Attendant could have been nicer. I would highly recommend you reach out to customer relations on Monday at 855-234-4654 so they can document your complaint and look in to the matter further. you can also send a message to Southwest on Facebook or Twitter and they can assist you there but I would still recommend calling or you can write Southwest a letter but unfortunately Southwest won't be able to assist here since this is a customer to customer forum. I hope your future flights are much better than this most recent one! Blake

@kdge I believe you would have to pay the full price for upgraded boarding because the EB would not guarantee you an A boarding pass and would not get you an A1-15 while upgraded boarding will guarantee you get A1-15 also the other reason I believe you would have to pay full price is it's a separate service. Hope this helps Blake

You should be able to use the award HQ/more rewards (credit card holder or not some restrictions for non card holders) but it is a better deal to use the points to buy the flight since you can use your points to buy tickets for anyone so if your wanting to book a ticket for say your friend for a wedding present you could make a certificate for X number of points then they could just call you and you could buy the ticket for them. If you would still rather just do the gift card using points i would try clicking through the southwest site and go to the more rewards and it should work once you log in to your southwest account on that site. It may lg you out when you go from the Southwest website to the more rewards account which might be why it says not enough points since a non member would not have enough points. If you still have issues I would reach out to the phone number on the more rewards site hope this helps Blake
