@Lindsey We just finished watching a pop up edition that was hilarious. Every the crooks got hurt, it listed the possible injuries they would have had! Also it was so crazy over the top and unrealistic. A definite classic. LOL

Not 100% sure what you mean by kiosk vs desk? Do you mean curbside vs regular inside desk? Either place should work. Here is more, from this SW site: Snow ski equipment, including skis or snowboards, ski boots, and ski poles: including one pair of skis or one snowboard, one set of poles, and one pair of ski/snowboard boots encased in a container(s) acceptable to Carrier. When substituting ski equipment for a free bag, Southwest Airlines allows up to two bags (containing one set of snow skis, ski poles, and ski boots) to count as one item, even if they are packed and tagged separately. Note: Snow ski equipment will not be subject to excess size charges. However, excess weight charges may apply.

Hate to hear. Def no excuse for being treated poorly. In the future, note that many SW counters have a self tag option where you tag the bag yourself and simply drop it off. If you need any extra time or are checking anything out of the ordinary, such as medical equipment, be sure to use the full service line.

This can be done! It is just a little complicated. The travel funds are actually irrelevant to your question because the hold up lies in paying "cash"/travel funds for some of the tix and then using points for the others. Here is what you need to do: Book the adult flights. You should be able to do this on one reservation together. Note the confirmation number...you will need it for the kiddos. Next, book the kids' flights on points. Again...you should be able to do this on one reservation together. Toward the end of the booking process, you will get a popup that asks if the kids are flying unaccompanied. You will select thay they are travelling with an adult, and you will be asked for the confirmation info for an adult. As long as you enter that, you should be good. NOTE: Since you will be on two separate reservations, you may not all end up with sequential boarding positions once you check in. If your kids are below six years of age, you can board together in family boarding, and the boarding positions become irrelevant. Hope that helps. This is something we do all the time, so you should be good. If you have more questions, let me know. You might also find it easier to simply call to book using the Contact Us info below. Either way, good luck, and happy flying!

Short answer: as long as you don't use them before and as long as there are four open spots available, you're good!

MDW is perfect for connections until it isn't...is what I always say! LOL Those winters will get you! Food has improved, but I would def still chooose to connect thought HOU, DAL, or BWI in most cases. But that is just me! Unfortunately, I have never been anywhere in Chicago except for going through MDW. I need to fix that!

Given this verbaige: "Starting December 3, 2019, if you include your Rapid Rewards number in your flight reservation, you will be able to view available travel funds from unused tickets, tickets cancelled in accordance with the No Show Policy, or tickets which have a residual balance." (emphasis mine), I think it should show all travel fund scenarios for anything after 12/3. Southwest.com > My Account > View Travel Funds LUV IT!

The short answer is yes, possibly. Southwest does not charge change fees, but you are subject to fare differences. You can find out more about flight changes with Southwest here. Since you want to move from what I assume is a heavy Christmas travel day (12/21) to one that is a little early, it is possible that you could actually get money back either as a refund or in the form of "travel funds" you can use in the future, depending on what type of fare you purchased. But it is also possible that the flight you want to change to costs more. While you won't pay a fee, you would have to pay the difference in fare. I would check very soon as the cheapest fares often become unavailable the closer you get to day of travel. You might find this guide helpful in getting more detail and if you decide to change the flight. Also, best wishes for your cancer treatment.

Thanks @Lindsey! Having the ability to book flights with points and get the refund when needed is a great perk of SW! One of my faves. @Huynhjp91, if you have more questions, let me know. Happy to help!

I'm afraid that would like not be allowed. You can find info about travelling with pets here and about emotional support animals here. My understanding of these policies would not accomodate you travelling with geckos since cats and dogs are the pets that are allowed on board, since they would not be service or emotional support animals, and since pets cannot be checked. It's probably not the answer you hoped for, but I hope it helps!

A List is good for the remainder of the year in which you earn it plus the entire next year. So if you qualify in 2019, then you status is effective upon qualification through the end of 2020. Per SW's site: "Rapid Rewards® A-List and A-List Preferred qualification is based on the calendar year. Once reached, you will begin enjoying the benefits immediately. You will maintain your A-List or A-List Preferred status for the remainder of the calendar year and the entire calendar year immediately following the year in which you qualified. Southwest® may from time to time offer promotional tier status. If you received tier status due to a promotional offer, the length of your tier may not be until the end of a calendar year. Please refer to the specific promotion for the tier length."

It works for some and it doesn't for others. Pros and cons. The pros that comes with Southwest's customer friendly policies outweigh any negatives about the boarding process (for me).

Two more trips essentially = four more flights as each round trip = two flights. It it is important to you, you might consider a mileage run. For amexample, I recently booked a day trip from BNA to ATL and back for $100 yet to get the flights for status. I ended up booking a work trip, so I won't need it. I add my wish of good luck as well!

Agreed with @bec102896. That is a rough day, and I'm sorry you have had that experience. Many of us have been there. Kudos for SW for giving you the voucher! Keep in mind that the coucher was most likely for the delayed original flight; the person who awarded it may not have been looking out beyond that flight to connections. Def reach out to customer relations or even the Twitter team to share your feedback.

Happens like that sometimes. It's just a crapshoot. Even if no one in front of you wants a certain seat, if your plan has through passengers on it who are continuing on to the next destination, they might be in your preferred seat as well.

It is overrated to me because of the tray table situation as several have said. It just is not that practical. I generally like the window or aisle seat in the exit row opposite 12A. You get more legroom but a functional tray table. Now I might choose 12A over a regular row, but it isn't my first choice. But if you want to go with "Southwest First Class" as many call it (that joke is tired at this point), enjoy!

I'm not sure I understand, but short answer: each flyer get the miles for the flight. If your spouse paid with a RR credit card, he might get extra points on the card. Note: the ticket must have your Rapis Rewards # on it so that you can collect the points.

@susanmanner Just remember that you generally have to show ID to check bags. So plan carefully...each flyer can check two bags for free, so be sure that enough of you go to check bags so that you can get all the bags for the whole party checked without paying extra. Good luck with checking them through!
