Since my suggestion from 2017 was recently implemented (YEA!), I figure this might be a good time to bump this thread ... as a one-click "Reverse Route" capability exists for most other airline websites and it would sure be handy to have on the airline I LUV the most! ๐

Back in 2017, I suggested adding the ability to be able to add other travelers to your profiles was recently ... and this was recently added - YEA! ๐
So I figure this might be a good time to bump this thread requesting the ability to add passport information ... not just for yourself, but also for those other travelers.

Looks like this was FINALLY added - thanks Southwest! ๐

Another suggestion for Southwest on their website is adding a one-click "Reverse Route". I.e. when you are booking a flight (especially if one-way), the next action you take is often looking at the return flight. On SW, I have to manually change both the departure and arrival city. Whereas on some other airline websites, it's a simple one-click to have them reversed. Just a hopefully simple suggestion to add to the TODO list that would be beneficial to customers. Thanks, alek

I'm going to bump this thread as clearly it would be nice if Southwest had the ability to save other traveler profiles in our SW account.

Similar to the Known Traveler Number for TSA, is there any way to save our Passport info in our profile? Other airlines do this and it sure makes it easier ... rather than having to enter (yet again), passport number, country of issues, etc. and expiration data EVERY time an International Reservation is made. Bonus points if this is done such that it will "alert" you if your passport is going to expire within a year ... and especially if less than 6 months as many countries require it have that much left on it. My apologies if there is already a way to do this (is there?) ... and if not, thanks in advance for considering adding this feature. alek

As the original poster of this thread, glad to see someone from Southwest chime ... so thank you Nicole and glad to hear that this will be "addressed in a future update" FYI that I saw someone marked the problem as "Solved" ... but since it is not yet, I believe did the correct things to "unsolve" it. Looking forward to actually having it solved ... as I'm sure many other Southwest travelers are too! ๐

Sorry for the delayed response - I'm "subscribed" to this thread, but for reasons unknown, I don't get notifies when someone responds. All good points by DancingDavidE - TheMiddleSeat - chgoflyer and thank you for your responses. I was just hoping to see a more offical SW acknowledgement and/or response ... hopefully option #4! ๐ FYI that I was able to re-mark it as unsolved ... although yea, I guess technically it was solved.

LOL that playing with the forum interface, it's possible *I* marked this as Solved - D'OH! ๐ Regardless, I just unmarked it.

Sorry TheMiddleSeat if you got the impression I was saying YOU marked it as Solved - it was meant more generically to the folks who run this forum who presumably were the ones who did it (do we know who marked it Solved?) but I can see how my wording might have come across that (wrong) wrong way to you. SW Folks: TheMiddleSeat is one of your "Fantastic Five" (well deserved!) and he agrees this feature would be a great time saver. Any chance someone official can chime in and say: 1. Dumb idea - we won't do (cool, but at least I asked) 2. OK idea - we'll get to it "sometime" but probably not for a while 3. Good idea - it's on our radar and we'll add this capability sooner rather than later 4. GREAT idea - it's on the top of our to-do list and expect roll-out next month! ๐ Have my Mother and Son flying you tomorrow early afternoon from SEA-DEN to join us for Thanksgiving - Southwest ROCKS! ๐

I appreciate you chiming in TheMiddleSeat (you are a GREAT help on these forums BTW), but I would quibble a bit with calling this issue "Solved" which is now shows. Yes, that is how it currently works ... but clearly being able to save other traveler's information would be of GREAT benefit to a LOT of people. I realize Southwest has plenty of projects to work on, but am hoping they can push up the priority on this one as I think this would be very helpful.

As a followup/closure, things went down exactly as expected. 1. Called Southwest to change my companion from my son to Dave. Agent was (as typical) super friendly and took care of it right away, but said yea, she did not have "super-powers" to swap the ticket over. 2. Had Dave cancel his previous booking and request refund of points and fees. 3. Then added him as my companion on the same flight which generates a new confirmation number. So while it would have been nice not to have to do these few extra steps, it was pretty easy. Getting up for the 6:05AM departure on 11/11 Denver to Houston flight won't be as easy! ๐ But hey, we are headed to Belize for our 20th Anniversary, so it's all good! Thanks Southwest!

Have you thought about having a "printable" companion pass available on the website ... This would be especially useful if you switch Companions - saves Southwest the phone call and printing/sending the updated one - i.e. tastes great AND less filling! ๐

How difficult is it for me and my sons to get an NPE (Non-Passenger Escort) gate pass to meet Grandma at the gate? She does NOT require a wheelchair, but be nice to greet/assist her at the gate ... plus we were thinking of having a meal airside. I realize this falls a bit into the TSA turfdum ... but is this something that Southwest employees (who I've found use "common sense" rather than are rigid with rules) can do? Traveller is same last name. Thanks, alek P.S. The "other" Grandma actually DOES require a wheelchair which I enter into the record when I book her flights. Does that "help" in getting an NPE?

I have looked all over for a common problem I (and I'm sure many others have) which is there ANY way to save OTHER traveller profiles on my Southwest Web Account? I.e. when I book a reservation for my family, I have to re-enter ALL their information. Not only is this time consuming, but it's easy to make a mistake. Every other airline gives me the option to "Save" that profile ... so next time, I just click on "Wife, Son #1, Son#2, etc." and it auto-fills. If this capability does not exist, can I strongly request this ability be added as I'm sure many Southwest LUV fans would appreciate it. Thanks!

Yea, that's how it has always worked when I have changed a reservation, but I'm wondering if the Companion can handle this slightly different and particularly the International Fees. I'll be doing this in early November and will try to remember to circle back and summarize what happened.

So I have Companion Pass and may still have some trips with the person currently listed. But in a month, I'm travelling with a friend who before I depart, plan to add him as my companion. However, we weren't sure when we planned the trip, so I have already booked his ticket using my points. When I call Southwest to change my Companion, can I provide his confirmation number and they can just switch him to be my companion, and refund the points back into my account? And just to make this more interesting, it's actually an International ticket (to Belize), so there are customs/immigration fees - I assume those just come straight across. I.e. everything remains the same (passenger name, dates, flights, etc.) but in a couple of weeks, I just want to change his booking from using my points to be my companion. It would be nice not to have to cancel/rebook his reservation. Thanks!
