If you look at your Chase statement, it will be bundled in with other points. However the statement will break it down. My anniv. points just showed up on my last statement:

Southwest consistently and warmly thanks customers for choose to fly with them. And the "be kind to one another" message is one I hear very consistently as well. It is lovely to hear!

What you may be able to do is, apply for a joint account to recieve 50 or 60k points. Then you can closed your other accounts. Only the primary account holder will get the points from the CC. Congratulations!

Give the person picking you up the flight number so they can track your flight. This will let them know when you will land.

@chgoflyer wrote: I haven't done it myself, but my understanding is that recent changes to the booking system have eliminated the need to cancel the companion's ticket prior to a refare of the same flight. That would be nice. I dind't try it when I recently changed flights doing it "the old way" but will see if it works at the next opportunity.

HERE'S A SIMPLE AND EASY SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM: When a passenger asks for a pre-boarding pass, the agent should ask him or her if they need physical assistance getting down the jetway? If not, then simply ask them to go ahead and board with their group. Interestingly, I experienced this being done in Denver several months ago. I was not well at the time and asked the agent at the gate for a pre-boarding pass just to test it to see how easily this could be done. The agent asked me this question which I thought was courteous but also direct and to the point. I had to admit that, no, I would not have any trouble making my way down the jetway. I honestly thought that Southwest must be training their gate agents to ask this question. However, subsequently I have seen the same long lineup of people pre-boarding who look like the picture of health. There will always be people who are not truthful when asked this question. But most will respond like I did and board with their group.

Does anyone know when SWA is planning to hold the training classes, how many classes will they need and how many trainees will be in each class? Has anyone made it to the point that they are assigned to a class? Patiently waiting,

@CharityMciver45 The best thing to do is set up a profile on the southwest careers website that way you can check and see when they post the next flight attendant opening but at this time there is no way for me to send you the application and you won't be able to apply until the position is available as that is southwests policy. with this being said if you could please edit your post to remove your email address that is for your own protection. Thanks Blake

wanted to add a data point. i had one extra seat booked this scenario on one leg and canceled the extra seat on the phone. inventory immediately went back and i was able to immediately book a CP, so others in this situation, trying to cancel and rebook with CP on a sold out flight, I would say this is fairly safe, in my eperience, especially now that SW isnt overbooking flights since the United disaster....

If the flight is sparse, I head to the back with lots of chances to get at least a middle empty if not all three seats to myself. People sit next to each other in the front no matter how full the plane is. For full flights, I like to get about 8 rows back. That's where the overheads will be full and all the last people on the plane will have to keep heading to the back, so best chance for a middle seat to be empty is in that neighborhood. I've heard it called "The Hidden First Class" of Southwest. Also for short flights I forget which row exactly, but you want to be towards the first group to get drink orders in, but not for the front FA who has some extra duties, get the second section.

I believe I read the process could take up to a year or more. In the meantime, I would do all you can to learn more about the industry and the SW family. It’ll keep you in a positive mood and you’ll be ready if the opportunity presents itself. There are some great podcasts about Southwest you could listen to. My favorite is on “How I Built This”, featuring Herb Kelleher, the founder of Southwest Airlines. He’s quite a guy... you’ll thoroughly enjoy it. Best of luck to you!

My husband and I travel often. We get TSA pre most of the time. What a bummer when we don't. I'm thinking about appying for TSA pre for $85, but so far haven't found the need. We are approved about 9 out of 10 flights.
