I recommend getting in touch with Southwest by using the "chat" function within the app. Other options are Twitter, phone, and email, click the "Contact Us" button for all options.

@Bowfin wrote: While I do not have all of the parameters of the situation and agree that children and parents should sit together; I can offer some thoughts on how to prevent this from happening again. Ask for a fair and equal swap – people are inherently good and particularly on Southwest, most are traveling for business and wouldn't mind swapping seats. In an effort to accommodate a parent/child seating arrangement, I would do it. Don't expect an “A List” business traveler to swap a row 1-4 with you in row 26, but it is possible they would. I hope this helps. I think this part of the response is the best, and I hope that they tried this - usually if you can enlist the help of the flight attendant to find someone to move so that two seats can be found together it will work out. I'm sorry to say it won't work 100%, but often the FA will offer a beverage to anyone that moves and I've chipped in one for people that did this as well when I was seated near them. Make sure to check in exactly at T-24 hours as well, even coming at late B's you may not find seats together, but you can find lots of single empties so people are more likely to have a place to move to that is equivalent for themselves. Boarding at C-15+ it is harder for people already seated to move around. Another tip would be if they had carry-on luggage to stow it as soon as possible then all of the seats could be theirs. Carrying that luggage around while people snap up the last few seats makes it difficult, walking all of the way to the back, then working your way to the front again. With a little practice they will be better able to work the system on future flights.

@MrsH just to add to what @SWDigits said be sure to arrive with enough time to stop at the ticket counter and get the pass it could take a few minutes depending on the line at the full service ticket counter. You will also have to go though security so that can take time as well so allow time for that (pre check won’t work on an escort pass in case you have that when you normally travel) hope this helps Blake

There must be multiple targeted offers floating around. The one I found has a 10,000 point threshhold. Does the $75 charge begin at 63inches or 62.1inches? My guess is that you'll be fine. The official line is 62.00001 inches would be subject to the fee. The reality, IMO, is that .6 inches is a rounding error that no one will notice.. As others have said make sure you aren;t counting the wheels in your measurement. They don't count towards the 62 inches.

The airline sells two distinct fares: NON REFUBDABLE (better known as Wanna Get Away) REFUNDABLE (better known as Anytime or Business Select The rules for each are published. Anyone that wants the "insurance" of refundability should buy a refundable fare. Others retain the full value of their purchases in the form of travel funds that may be used by the original ticket holder for flights up to a year from the date the tickets were purchased.

One additional item to note is that some locations may have periodic resitrictions/"baggage embargo", especially during the holidays. One is planned to be in place for Montego Bay from August 16, 2019 through September 16, 2019 (see the link provided by @TheMiddleSeat) -- if that is your destination and timing then boxes are not allowed.

There are Southwest employees on the forum but you will usually be referred to customer service for individual travel questions like yours. You can call the 800 number though I agree with @DancingDavidE that the chat function is my go to resource. I've only used it once but there was a chat queue of two people in front of me that moved very quickly versus a long estimated hold time on the phone. When you use the chat function they will automatically have your information and should have the ability to implement solutions for you (they made flight changes for me). To use chat open the Southwest app on your phone > tap the three horizontal lines on the top left corner > then scroll down to the "Contact Us" section > and click on "Chat". The only thing I don't like about using the chat function is that it's a little inconvenient to type lots of detail using the phone -- I hope they one day add chat to the web site too.

I suspect that the vast majorty of the 163,000,000+ people that flew with Southwest last year disagree with you that the boarding process is broken. But as stated earlier, Southwest welcomes comments and suggestion from passengers.

You are able to redeem Rapid Rewards points for anyone so you are able to use your points to purchase Southwest tickets for your wife. Earning points is different. When you fly each traveler earns points in their own Rapid Rewards account so both you and your wife should accrue points in your individual accounts. With your personal credit card you earn points in your account. If your wife signs up for a credit card in her name then the points earned will go to her account. You can't have multiple personal credit cards with different people all accruing points to one Rapid Rewards account. If you have a business then you can accrue points from both your personal card and your business card in your personal Rapid Rewards account.

I called the main baggage hotline and they offered to reimburse me on essentials if needed. I also tweeted at them for some extra attention. Good news is that our bags finally made it, after going through Florida. I was offered a $50 travel voucher for picking them up at the airport myself. Unfortunately, one of my suitcases was missing a wheel but I was offered an additional $75 travel voucher. I’m satisfied!

Is your supply already frozen? If you choose against dry ice and some of the milk thaws, I’m fairly certain it’s okay to refreeze as long as each bag has some ice crystals remaining. I’ve carried on frozen and liquid breastmilk without trouble much trouble (even coming back from Mexico), places like Starbucks will give you ice. Good luck!

The Southwest "Flight Schedules" page is also helpful if you want to see all of the flights available during any given week (the link I embedded is for the week of July 7-13 as an example). When the page loads use your web browser's search function within the page to look for "Nonstop" and you should be all set.

@lolaadara it looks like daily flights are on the schedule starting November 3rd, here is a link to what I see on the weekly flight schedule. If you click on the "<" or ">" buttons you are able to toggle weeks. You can also click on the low fare calendar to get a visual for the entire month. Many routes are seasonal and my guess, as another customer, is that Southwest hasn't seen or forecast enough demand (or less demand than their other routes) to justify the daily flights until November. Safe travels!
