If it was me, I would book 2 separate tickets.  That way, if you want to use the Wanna Get Away fare, you can, and then book a separate Anytime fare for your companion.  If the flight has available seats, it is easy for you to add your companion online, and cancel the original ticket online (make sure you do the same day, because after midnight, the system will automatically reject one of the conflicting reservations).   If it so happens that your flight is full, then you could call in and have an agent do the switch.    Right now, with hold times and the like, I prefer to be able to manage everything online, if possible.  That's just my 2 cents. ... I have had that issue before.  The system didn't fully issue the ticket, so I was left "unticketed".  However, since space was available on the flight, gate agent was able to get the ticket issued.  I don't know if a spot was actually held for me, or if it was coincidence that space was available.   You should contact customer service, if you are still experiencing the issue. ... App updated, and the “add to wallet” feature is no longer available on iOS 12.4. It worked on Monday, Oct 7, but not on Wednesday Oct 9 when my app updated.  ... View more
