Yes, The program has been halted. It has been suggested in the community that they bring it back in light of the "personalities" the crews have had to deal with in the last few years. I too keep one in my wallet and gave one out about a year ago on a flight to Hawaii in which a FA went way over the top to make the flight enjoyable. They took it very graciously but at that time I had no idea that the program had ended; so I have no idea what value it was to them other than a nice "thank you card" if anything else. I wish they would bring it back as a way for us customers to say thanks in a small and special way to those who truly enjoy their jobs and go the extra mile.

I'm currently on a flight utilizing a 737-800 Max which has TV and Fox is an option. The fly in the ointment will be if the equipment you are scheduled to fly on Super Bowl Sunday will the system be working? My experience of late is other than on a Max it is hit or miss whether the entertainment let alone the internet works as they are in the process of upgrading the fleet. YMMV.

Somewhere in the past few days someone mentioned that the A-List Res number has changed. What I have is an 888 # that asks my date of birth; that did not happen in the last few days (was Christmas Day on one occasion) and was thrown into the general que where I waited 3hrs and gave up as I'm stuck in Denver currently. Has it changed? TIA

It's pretty well documented that DIA is ramper issues... I can tell you first hand it took over and hr to get my luggage Wednesday the 20th. They asked for patience as "there is only one guy to offload the luggage" Of course the best practice would be to load the outgoing bags and get the revenue flowing to the next stop then drop our bags at the carousel. (Can't blame them from wanting to keep the wheels and people moving forward)

Thanks M.S. I see where it can be cancelled before flight. Since it's after the scheduled flight time it shows that it's been modified and have to go through the "change channels"
I booked a flight for us on Wednesday and see where I can cancel it there; but I think it's the best soonest for 2. I'll call and see what they can do on their end "behind the scenes" to get me out on Tuesday. Denver has been a real mess to say the least and the rumors are flying on why there are issues here.

When you say "remove" I can only change or delete companions by phone. To change the reservation online I get:
Sorry, we found some errors...
Companion reservations cannot be changed online. Please contact a Southwest Airlines Customer Representative at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792).
I just got the rebook text 1/2hr before the scheduled flight time and the msg retrieval pin doesn't get me my message... *sigh* I'll try again in a 1/2hr and get on the a-list line again when I wake up in the middle of the night.

Frustrated long time SWA customer stuck in the mess at Denver. Started on the 21st with baggage delays (Only one guy to u/l the plane; took over an hr to get luggage. Missed a great portion of a hockey game.
Today no notification of our flight cancellation from the a/l directly. Checked their website and flightaware 6 hrs before flight, all good; 4 hrs before flight showed cancelled.
My issue is that I have a companion on my reservation and I can't make changes on the app or via the web I HAVE to call. Well 2-1/2 hrs later on hold and counting and my wife getting cut out of que/hung up on even with my A-List phone access number. "What's a mother to do!?" I think my hands are tied.

Over the wing area. Think of the aircraft and the 4 axis it has or where it would "pivot" around. Or think of a teeter-totter with the middle staying the most stationary. Also think that the pilots want to get home to see their families as much as you do and wouldn't put themselves in harms way. They can't control the turbulence but they can see which routing can minimize it. Hope it helps.

Contact Chase using the number on the back of your card. SWA does not have those types of answers. The Bank does. Plead with them for the extra miles you may get a sympathetic voice. (you signed up under the lesser mile reward) I've had the card for about 15yrs. Love it and Chase.

I can't speak for flight points only flight credits. Yes flight credits seem to hit within 2 days. If on an outbound of a r/t reservation it may not hit till the completion of the return.

It is not a scam but I will tell you of my experience. In about 45days of trying I have yet to complete a whole survey as I go down the rabbit hole and get to the 20th question and "conveniently" I suddenly answer a question in a manner that disqualifies me from the original "200 points" and get a token 5-10 points for "trying" In my opinion is it's a waste of time. I get them for other brands I support and won't go there... Sadly they are all a waste of time. That's my 2 cents.

Yes you can but it would be a fruitless exercise as you would only accrue miles if you actually board the flight and not just check in for it.

On Southwest you are allowed 2 free checked bags within their allowances (50# and a physical size limit). Do you have overweight or oversize checked luggage or more than 2 ?

I just spoke to a CSA on the phone while changing a reservation and they said the program was/has been suspended b/c of Covid... Waaay before (2yrs ago) I asked for some more and they never came in my mail. I gave one of the 3 I still have left a week ago to a FA. Yup made me feel good to recognize someone without remembering name/flight/and writing. SWA if you see this is the new brass going to bring this program back. It w/b nice to reward all the hard over the top workers in the trying times they face daily with customers!

IDK why they had "clubseats" 3 backwards and 3 forward facing up at front bulkhead and towards the back. Maybe Herb liked to socialize with clients and customers and thought it a good idea? Continue a business meeting enroute? Could have been a seat maximization plan?

Apparently there is a safe travels desk at LAX in the concourse where to get a wristband; I believe today it was gate 7. We went to our gate (18a) 15 mins before boarding as we were eating and missed any announcements to go to that gate for a wristband. Being too late we will present out vax cards and QR codes to move on. Lesson learned I wish it was publicized in the reservation process perhaps a bit better by posting here hopefully it will help others. I will surely look for it next month as I plan to come back.

I have yet to hear from SWA but I believe you are correct as I gleaned this from the link:
You will receive a QR code via email from travel@hawaii.gov
Confirm all details within your Safe Travels profile is updated and accurate (i.e., full name, flight number, etc.) for your final departure to Hawaii
Present that QR code and your identification to a friendly Southwest Agent at your final departure gate or other centralized location
Once your State-of-Hawaii approved Safe Travels account has been verified by a Southwest representative, you will receive a Southwest-branded Pre-Clear wristband allowing you to bypass airport screening upon arrival in Hawaii.
I'll see when I have 24hrs before flight to KHNL and check in with State of Hawaii. Thanks Middle Seat! So confusing; and may change on a dime what is required...

Flying from KAUS-KLAX on one confirmation then KLAX-KHNL on another 2 hrs later ( Y'all don't fly KAUS-KHNL directly) In order to get the Safe Travels Hawaii wristband or is it now a QR code (not the Hawaii Clear) to exit KHNL more quickly can I get that at the gate in KLAX? (Big pain to go thought TSA again at KLAX as it's usually nuts) Or do I have to exit security at KLAX and go to the ticket counter? HUGE reason I ask is my daughter is flying a different route with similar circumstances and only a 55 minute connection in a different city. I've reached out to SWA in FB and Twitter already also.

Yes, pls reach out to WN via the contact us link. Perhaps a bit of background of what the issue/s were at the ticket counter would be helpful to the community to perhaps help us avoid the same situation? Friday night departures from KLAS can be busy to say the least.

I can tell you I have flown 8 rt's this year so far on WN towards the left coast and ID; mainly nonstops and have had minimal delays. Maybe 30 mins max one or two times. Sorry you had one bad experience. Also flown a couple on FFT, I don't believe they do it on purpose. They are in the business of repeat business and want y'all to be happy, tell your friends and fly again. The business end of FAA part 121 and 135 operations is to make money and that what drives it everyday. Was weather a big factor from where the equipment or crew from? You provided no details on why your flights were delayed. There are other means of transport out there, maybe explore that for their return trip? I find personally that air travel is most comfortable, affordable and mostly timely for me compared to other means even giving delays. I'd rather spend a few hr delayed trip and not drive the 20hrs KAUS to KLAS. Just my 2cents. All in all great job Southwest! Thank y'all for what you do to give us the freedom to fly and get us to our destinations. "Uncle Herb and Aunt Colleen" are proud of all the team members.
