@ckokinda The extension for my travel funds has not been processed either. I talked with the Twitter team at SW, and the were not sure when it would be processed but assured me it would. Stay tuned!

@callyouout wrote: I don't feel it's fair. I'm glad they realize that they have to extend it, but they need to recognize that those of us with expirations in June also need to be taken into consideration. This COVID situation isn't drastically different for a matter of 2 days. They need to show some mercy. If your funds are from a flight that was cancelled between March 1 -May 31, 2020, then your funds will be extended through June 30, 2021. With some thought, it should be easy to see how one can create a "newly created travel fund due to a flight cancellation between March 1 - May 31 2020" if necessary. Additionally, it's possible (perhaps likely) that the period currently covered will be expanded at some point, depending on how the country (world) is impacted by the coronavirus situation over the next few months.

Thank you for sharing your concerns, @AnnaSF. We understand that other air carriers are offering flexibility on their change/cancellation fees. Southwest prides itself on already offering these unique ticketing policies. While we won’t be offering refunds of our nonrefundable fares, we’re happy to ensure each Passenger is maximizing the use of their travel funds. Please click here to see the latest update on travel funds. These are uncertain times for us all, and we hope that you’re able to use your funds for a future flight.

I agree, I canceled a reservation due to the covid-19 and got the same response from SW! In this circumstance they should make an exception and refund the early bird charge! Due to uncertain future work schedule it's not possible for me to schedule a vacation sometime in the future. Lesson learned don't purchase the Early Bird option until very close to my flight! Disappointed in Southwests keeping this policy in force!!!
