@Mauibound My thought on this is when you went to talk to your son and pull your mask down, pop a snack in your mouth or take a drink, case closed, half this discussion is eliminated. Food for thought.

It take about 3 seconds reading that to realize that there will be no exemptions. For instance, the flight must be less than 50% full at the time of departure. My flights in the past month or so have been 90% or more full.
