A lot of my 're-bookings' end up being 'non-existent routing' due to massive layovers not allowing a 'connection' (within their allotted time frame), so you get a whole lot of additional flights as segments, rather than connections. (This should help with your 'tiers' 😉 but I doubt they will allow that!)

* SWA * please get some consistency to this process In the last 3 days I have got notifications (4) different ways, none of them consistent, nor appropriate to give adequate information to accept the change. 1) Email (usually best and most thorough), with old and new itinerary and chance to rebook as needed to meet my schedule 2) Email with NO itinerary, no dates (not acceptable, since I usually have 20-30 flight booked)) 3) Personal call (Never acceptable, as we all have other things going on + we seldom will have our itinerary off the top of our head, nor able to make decisions without seeing full schedule of options, and reviewing with out personal obligations. 4) Txt that says locator number xxx has been changed. research that locator and find No email (?) (don't know original schedule, must go back and re-create it.) SWA has 'Room for Improvement" in determining ONE comprehensive and consistent way to communicate your changes, Much appreciated.

No IT blog, so inquiring 'general' Since 23 Feb when I try to log in to IFLYSWA.com for flight related business, the website sometimes auto-directs to SWA Shopping (of which I have no interest) . This is now hanging my system as today it heads to Hulu, which is screened for spam and is also hung up. (Hulu down for maint) I just need to check-in! not buy something. BTW: I am on a rural internat connection so have to drive to town and pay-per-byte top be faced with internal SWA spam. Please help me to just buy tickets and check-in!

I do miss the "Your Trip is right around the corner" reminders that SWA used to send out. No shows nabbed me 4x in 2018. Unfortunatley it grabs and destroys your whole routing (RT) so double whammy if you happen to book overlapping trips to same destination. (And leaves you stranded... (Never book a RT, just have 10+ pages of single trips booked. (don't forget to cancel them!) if you happen to need to change / no-show.) Yes, it would be SO simple for SWA to resurrect "Your Trip is right around the Corner", they have the data...

Agree, I often fly multiple legs on the same day (up to 12 legs) and... sometimes I do not know which of several destinations I willl use on a particular day. Too bad they don't ask ? "which one do you want to keep?", or at least not cancel them until 2-3 days before flight, so you can iron out your most likely routing.

While in Singapore I end up having USA based friends log in and access my account, or I take a day trip to Malaysia so I can access SWA.com. Really a joke, even my VPN from Singapore does not allow me onto SWA. But... if I buy WiFi on my inbound international flight, I can access SWA and do my check-ins while on 16 hr flight to USA. Really, can't they fix this? I have to change 11 SWA flights while I have no access to SWA. Calling is not a great option, (also expensive) as you can't see / plan; not knowing the schedule and routing options.

Yes, really miss the simple "Your Trip is just around the corner" emails slightly more than 24 hrs before your flight. Probably a great revenue enhancer for SWA, as many people forget multiple or future reservations . So they get to capture the revenue if we forget to check-in / and miss the flight.

As for the "reason," the best guess is that IT no longer wanted to support the function. Given how many issues still plague the website following conversion to the new booking system, one suspects the Southwest IT Department, often already stretched beyond their capabilities, had to make some sacrifices just to keep things running. Ugh, still waiting / missing this time saving feature. As poor as the SWA IT dept is, I suspect they have no bandwidth. / ability to restore this excellent / useful / productive reservation tool. SWA IT is a primary reason and HUGE cost sink in my SWA experiences. Every new GUI release drags my ultra slow internet back into the dumps. The latest version occupies 80% of the screen, displaying 20% of the previous content. Darn, this is painful.

Very unlikely you can de-plane on a continuing flight (usually a 'short-turn') be sure you get a boarding pass before stepping off! !!! I dislike continuing flights and NEVER check luggage, as it will often get taken off the plane during stop-over and you will arrive with no checked bags. Of thousands of flights in 40 yrs, I have only lost bags on SWA due to 'continuing flight'. SWA record stands at near 100%! for 'misplacing' bags on my continuation flights. They usually show up in a few days, and I am LONG gone, and never stay near an airport when at a destination (Usually several hours away in the mtns or such. / no cell / no Fed-Ex / no delivery of bags). The credits are usually $100 if you don't mind being without your coats and boots while in the mtns.

The page is not found. Oh, this is so sad to have "Fare-by-map" shut down. I used it several times / week. I have (Unsuccessfully) spent hours searching for routes / destinations just in the last 2 days that could have been handled in 5 min using "Fare-by-map". My 100's of flights / yr on SWA will soon be going to other carriers if SWA makes it this hard to find info. Please ressurrect this tool (quickly):heart:
