Hi there! One suggestion would be to take a day trip to somewhere close by like a DAL to HOU or AUS if you lived there like to/from a hub for the cheapest. The best way to find the cheapest dates and places is exploring the low fare calendar on southwest.com I did a Round Trip in a day from AUS to ATL for $60 each way back last month. Good Luck! Blake

Hi there TSA Pre check is random no one is guaranteed Pre check that includes those who have paid the fee for the 5 years like myself and I have had 1 time since paying the fee where I had to go through the regular security line. in reguards to MAC on the boarding pass I am not sure. Maybe @LindseyD can explain that as I have never seen or heard of that.

Great question! when they get to the airport they can print the boarding passes at a kiosk and if they are checking bags they can do that as well at the ticket counter. Be sure they get to the airport with plenty of time because lines will be longer since it is the holiday season. All you kids will need is the confirmation number since they are under 18. Another thing I would recommend is emailing your kid the confirmation email so they can show it to the Rep at the ticket counter. Hope this helps! Blake

Yes! all you need to do is go to southwest.com and click the change reservation link. Then you would enter your information and select the new date. All you will be required to pay is any difference in fare. If the new flight is cheaper then you would have a credit for future use and pay NO change fees. you can also call customer service at 800-435-9792 and they would be glad to assist with making the change as well Happy Travels! @Bradangie95 Ok so I just remembered because it's international you would have to book 2 one way flights. That trick only works on domestic flights. 😢 what this means is if your checking bags you would need to allow yourself enough time to claim them and re check them in another city so for example fly DAL to HOU on a morning flight then allow yourself 3-4 hours so you can allow for a delay should it occur and then go out of security get your bag and re check it. Then go through security again. Sorry to break that news to you I hope the schedule for 2 one ways will work out so you don't have to spend 2 days flying just to start a vacation. But on a good note by booking 2 one way flights each way that will get you 4/25 of the way to A List Happy Travels! Blake

Great question all A List preferred, A List, and Early bird check ins are done 36 hours before the flight if someone that had say A21 as an A List member cancels there flight then who ever checks in next would get that A21. This happens because since people cancel last second and people miss connections all the time then there would be group D possibly E as well so sometimes people who didn't buy early bird and check in right at the 24 hour mark or wait until right when they get to the airport to check in will get a better spot because usually by that time flights have been missed opening up spots or changes making the spots open to the next person to check in. You could try a point to point reservation what this means is on the website if you type in say Dallas to Houston one way then once that loads at the top where you would change your flight to say a different date or city there will be an option to select Roundtrip and it should load a place for you to enter a third destination (Roundtrip with a different return) at that point you could type in Aruba and that way it's all on one confirmation number. Another thing I would try is do Dallas to Orlando then Orlando to Aruba as it could be cheaper. I have been waiting for southwest to add a travel wallet or travel bank as well it's much easier that way all funds are in one place so that all you would have to do is click on the funds or vouchers up to 3. I did talk to someone at customer customer relations who said she wishes that it existed as well and that they are looking in to it so no promises and no time frame. I hope they will take my feedback as well as others and add something like this as delta and united both have it. You could always send in an email to customer relations on the website with the feedback so that way they can see that more people want a travel wallet or bank. Thanks Blake

If I find I will be short on flights I book a day trip someone close by like austin to Houston or Dallas or if I am in Florida I book Orlando to Atlanta because there is no minimum spend requirement which is nice so booking the $42 flights $84 RT is nice and not to expensive hope this helps Blake

The following tickets are refundable -senior tickets -Business select tickets - Anytime fares wanna get away tickets are NON refundable however should should need to cancel one of these tickets you will have 1 year from original booking date to reuse the funds by the same pasanger as you made the reservation fornfunds are non transferable however all tickets have a 24 hour freee cancelation for a refund so if you book a wanna get away ticket at say noon today you could cancel up until noon tomorrow for a full refund if you book a points ticket all points tickets are refundable hope this helps and hope to see you on board the LUV jet soon Blake

Hi there LUV vouchers do count for A List credit and you get the points as it is treated like cash but some other partner things do not count towards A List but they do count towards Companion Pass. A Lot more things qualify for companion pass than A List so I learned for me the easiest way is to take a couple of day trips when southwest has a sale to get the 25 flights rather than 35,000 points because if you don't travel a lot those in particular are harder to earn than the Compainion pass points If you look at your points away from companion pass that will show all points earned this year and it's easy to compare how much didn't count towards A List hope this helps Blake

Because I earned my A List back in October every flight for the rest of this year is on points so the money I am saving can be put to use for earning A List again next year. A List Rocks! Safety is a big deal if a person shakes there head no then yes I do feel they should be moved because if an actual emergency occurred he might not actually assist. He should not have argued with the FA either because the FA could have kicked him off the plane for not complying with crew members instructions which is also in the saftey beefing before take off Saftey first!

Hi there here is what I think happened flight 550 starts in another city before going to Vegas so some people may be doing a 1 stop no plane change which means they were already on the plane before pre boarders in LAS and they don't have to get off the plane and re board so they can move seats before you get to board. hope this clears up your concern happy Travels Blake

At this time I am not aware of any way to link your account with your family's accounts I wish they had a feature like that but maybe in the future they will have that option. I also wish they had a wallet for compensation for example if you got 2 $100 vouchers I wish we could just see them in our account like delta has it set up but I know that an agent I talked to at corporate said they are working on adding a travel wallet at some point in time (no time frame currently). i would suggest you could copy and paste your kids Rapid rewards number as that is easiest at this point. Welcome to the community! So if it is heavy snow then yes flights can be delayed for deicing and depending on the number of planes it could take some time. I flew from Orlando to Houston but our inbound flight was coming from Denver and it has a 45min taxi when usually it is about 10-15min so we ended up with a 20min delay out of Orlando. My recomendation is IS to watch your flight status online and if it gets delayed over and hour or delayed enough where it could mess with your connection I would call 1800-435-9792 and they might be able to make a change free with no fare difference rather than you waiting in line at the airport behind tons of people. Another thing I do in the winter I give myself the 2 hour or longer layovers if I can't get a nonstop flight to allow for delays since the airline won't pay me if a connection is missed due to weather. hope this helps and if you have any further questions feel free to message me and I would be glad to help you Happy Travels Blake

As long as you buy early bird 36 hours in advance you will be good. I have bought the early bird 38 hours in advance and still received an A boarding pass as not everyone buys early bird so you should be fine. You might get a low B but my guess is a low B if not a high A. Happy Travels Blake
