So there was a time 3 years a go I made a reservation over the phone and I added early bird as I wasn't A List yet but wanted to be sure I would get A or early B. I knew I would reach A List before that flight but didn't want to wait until I earned the A List as the flight I was taking was only 38 hours later luckily the EB stuck when I earned status. it had both the A List mark and the EB mark with no problems so I was A List and EB check in for that flight so i I would make a reservation (without your RR number) then add EB check in then add your RR number and it should work Hope this helps! That's interesting never seen that description before. haven't seen any promotional emails from rapid rewards dining or shopping and nothing for flights so maybe you just got lucky and got free points or maybe out had an action from a credit card purchase that would be my guess like a buy this get a bonus. @TigerMO You have a year from the original ticket purchase. It's also important to note if you cancel a reservation and apply those funds to a new ticket the new ticket will keep the expiration date of the travel funds you applied so if you had to cancel the new ticket you won't have a year again from that ticket purchase. I don't believe there is a way to make payments on a flight unless you are doing group travel then I think you could do payments but for personal travel like 1-8 people you would have to pay in full i have seen where you can get months to pay if you get a credit card or line of credit from PayPal though should you want to do that not sure how that works completely but I have seen that when booking flights or buying things on eBay using PayPal Hope this helps Blake

@Abobbi yes I do think it would be great if Southwest made some type of program for family pooling but I don't think it will happen anytime soon (you never know though) they see feedback and could add something someday. I will say one problem I see with family pooling is as people get older it could be a flight for those are my or your points and then the airline could end up involved which I don't think they want to be in the middle of a flight like that but I am sure they would happen. In the meantime you can always use your points to buy tickets for anyone though so if you fly SW enough you can redeem a ticket for anyone and points tickets can be 1,200 on cheap sale tickets. You can also transfer 2,000 points for $20.00 and $10 per thousand after the 2,000 point minimum. Blake

I am not sure if there is a way to get a receipt for a bag online. You may be able to call customer relations though and they might have a way to get the receipt to you as the bag I would imagine would be attached to your reservation but I'm not too sure. Are you located in the United States or out of the country? If you are out of the United States I have heard lots of people say they can't get in to there account as Southwest blocks some international places from accessing there website and app. i am guessing since you have uninstalled and reinstalled your app should be at the current version but I would check that as well as they did have a new update on IOS this past weekend i would also recommend sending the screen shot to Southwest on Facebook or Twitter so they can look in to the issue as well as they usually respond quickly and might be able to help as well. once the photo is approved I can try to help better if I know what's happening. @bearthehair Flying on Southwest is pretty easy here are some tips to make it less stressful for you Southwest doesn't assign seats you get to pick your seat based on your boarding position the earlier you check in the better the boarding position there are 3 groups A B and C to get the best chance of group A you will want to check in at exactly 24 hours before your flight so if you leave at noon eastern we'll be online at 11:59am so when the clock strikes noon you can click check in. If you will be unable to check in at the 24 hour mark I suggest buying EB check in for $15 that way you will be checked in automatically and you will have a even better chance of A boarding. Be sure to be at the gate 30-40min prior to departure time so you can line up and get the seat you want when they call for boarding. I suggest arriving to the airport early they usually recommend 2 hours early for domestic and 3 hours early for international travel that way you have time to check bags get boarding passes and go though security. Security is not as bad as some make it sound as long as you don't have too much liquid in your bag (no full bottles of water) and as long as you don't have any prohibited items. I suggest bringing a book to read or if you have music to listen to that way when your inflight it will help you calm down maybe grab a snack to have on the flight or eat before the flight pretzels will be served and they will serve drinks (alcohol is available for purchase should you want that) I stick so a water or soda and a bag of pretzels and I'm good to go. There is free live tv should you want to watch tv instead of reading a book or listening to music. You can talk to the flight attendants and they can always try to help you stay calm should you become scared but I bet if you have a good seat mate and a nice snack and book or good tunes you should be just fine if your flight is late don't stress just take take a deep breath and they will have you on your way as soon as possible. To add to what @basslaw2010 said the credit for your daughter will expire one year from the original purchase date of this ticket so if she rebooks a new flight it will keep this old expiration date should she have to cancel again on the new flight. But you won't be able to use her credits on yourself. also if you still want to take the trip just without your daughter you can call reservations and they can split the daughters off and cancel them so you don't have to cancel and rebook as fares may have changed and that way you won't have to pay more if the price has gone up since you booked. @Penelope17 So if I understand correctly your son is one account holder (since he flew and earned points he is that account holder) and you are the owner of another account (your for flights you have taken) if this is the case you won't be able to combine accounts because even though you paid for the flights the person who flew owns the points. If your trying to use the points in your sons account you can book a ticket using those points for anyone (no combination of accounts required) by logging in to that account and booking hope this helps Blake

I know back the first year I earned A List I had a B group and was like huh so I called and they told me they needed to refresh my reservations since I was booked as a non a lister but became one so a simple call to reservations fixed that problem if you have been A List for more than a year I would definitely reach out to customer relations do they can investigate also I did have 2 occasions back last December where I was in the middle B group so I called to see what was up and then come to find out there were 70-80 A Listers going from AUS to DAL (trying to get last minute A List flights is my guess) hope this gets fixed for you Blake
