Edit: Also, in general if you ask, people are often willing to move forward or back a row to let you sit near each other as things fill up. Though it's not likely someone will move from an aisle/window to a middle seat unless it is for a special reason (like your flight companion is a child).
Children and newlyweds for me.
You co-workers out there can just catch up when you land instead, or use the free messaging.

Thank you for reaching out! If you're traveling on a Boeing 700 Series aircraft, the aisle way is 15". The armrest in the bulkhead is movable, so it's possible you could do a 90 degree transfer. On an 800 Series, while the aisle way is 15-18" (depending on the year built), we would need to do an aisle chair. Please don't hesitate to speak with an Employee at the airport on your date of travel for your best options.

Hi @margareta51200,
Yes, if your backpack fits within those dimensions, you should be fine to carry it onboard. Particularly if its soft-sided - you can always squish those to fit beneath the seats and in the overhead bins. You mentioned you were a first-time flyer - welcome! I hope you have a fantastic trip!

Good to know 😊 Thx I remember a long time ago they did have them. Or maybe they were like the little push cars. But I've never flown with my toddler. I think I'll take a small stroller with me. Thanks again.

You can edit that part, but not with ur app on ur cell. You gotta go online on ur computer and log on and click on ur reservation. Then on the name you want to edit.

I would be absolutely shocked if a bag were refused over a difference of 5.2mm. You'll be fine.

Sadly, no. It's a benefit reserved for A-List Preferred. On years I don't qualify for preferred I do miss it. In-flight wifi is one of the most amazing inventions of the 21st century.

I'm going to second the carrier suggestion. A one-hour layover is quite short. It'll take 5-10 minutes to get off the plane, another 5-15 for bathroom breaks and the walk to your next gate, and boarding begins 30 minutes before your outgoing flight. Therefore you really won't have much time anyway.

You would request a pre-board ticket which lets your mom and one person board the plane before everyone else. They would take a row near the front and then you would join them in the normal boarding order. The only caveat with pre-board is that you can not sit in the emergency exit rows if you pre-board.
